Update, got the cast off early last week in ER. Went in today for scheduled follow up and film, all looks good have to bear 40 lb. weight first week, 80 second, 120 3rd, all by the 4th week in my walking boot, then 2 more weeks in the boot. No phys. therapy, its up to me to stretch and gain movement and motion. "it puts the lotion on its skin" applies here folks......
Oh, the best part is as of this morning I can TAKE A FOCKING SHOWER!ha ha... "It puts lotion on it's skin"
If you wanted to shower you could have got a cast shower boot:Oh, the best part is as of this morning I can TAKE A FOCKING SHOWER!

I used one and it worked great. You could even have gone riding on a couch. You could ask people who have been through these things for tips.
Sounds like it's all downhill from here so good luck!
Dead skin sucks, so glad to get it off and lotion on. My calf is about half its usually thin self...hehehe The hardware stays put unless I have some discomfort later. My calf was also about half the size, took almost three months to get back to normal. Did you have about 1/4" of dead skin on the bottom of your foot?
Hope to be walking with only my walking boot and no crutches starting tomorrow, 3 weeks to go in the boot.:bananajump:
:bananajump::beerchug::barrel::brap:Sweet!!! Way to go brother, you'll be back in no time.
