Going rate for a complete 61x/62t motor

Basically iv found a 1997 wave raider 701 for 500 bucks and no key. Im sure i can delete the key switch and also not sure if its a 61x or 62t. Either way im only in it for motor and electronics unless for some reason it has a 155 pump, which again im not sure. All kinds of different info online. I have a 1994 wave raider with a 62t in it and i plan on using that and letting my chick ride the 1994. If its a 61x ill swap the cylinders on the 62t and have a sweet setup but not exactly sure.

I’d say $500 is cheap for the motor and electrics, provided it’s not all crap. Seems like $1200-$1500 was what I’ve observed lately (full motor, carbs, ebox). The bigger problem is having to dispose of the rest of the raider. Plus the time to tear it apart. If you like to wrench, have time>>money, or simply wanna do it for the experience, $500 is cheaper than I’ve seen. If you just want a motor, buy something already set to go or at least known good pieces; IMO.

Problem is, i need the electronics and a motor for a tigercraft v3 build. 500 bucks is a good start, i think if the going rate is up to 1200 hundred im gonna do it. For 500 bucks ill cut that kayak in half and throw it in the trash can. Steal the sponsons and throw it on my 1994 wave raider

My thoughts exactly. If i tear into the 61x i can just run the cylinders and head on the 62t case without any modification right? Do i need to use the electronics from the 61x engine if i run the 62t case with 61x cylinders? Does it matter?

take engine, take electrics, take pump , take SS Switch, take stainless strap /hull mounts, take mid shaft, ( take Y connector waterlines , take water box, take water box U to exhaust outlet, all great parts for blaster conversions, ) take throttle cable .... cut the hull up and ditch it or throw a cheap 650 in it and sell it

cheers

My man. Cheers.

400 bones. Completely empty in fuel. Added a little fuel and zing zing she sings. Step 1 in the process to a tigercraft v3 build complete. Now time to dump thousands into everything else

I picked one up for $900 recently. It included dual 38s with Prok style FAs, and all of the electronics+a lightened flywheel. The guy I bought it from said it only had 10 hrs since rebuild and install of a remanufactued crank. It was a local pick-up, so I did not pay any shipping. I plan on taking the cylinder off and doing some porting. So, we will see if it looks as low hour as he said
