I need a limiting rope on my chan. I'm trying to find something strong, yet sano.

I know you can use U bolts, but I'd rather not.
Is there anything that's "bomber" and not goofy looking?

the more I think about it, I'm surprised cold fusion or the Rad guys haven't made something out of billet for this purpose.

Suggestions?

well the rad dudes don't have poles!! Haha. Be sure you mount something a little low on the dash so the hook doesn't nick the hood! We ran into that problem on the chan in macon. So they wrapped the hook up in some turf for a weekend fix

To hold the rope to the pole?

Dash

How come you don't want to use U bolts?

For one, if they are large enough diameter to hold the tension/ abuse of a ski being jerked around by the pole, they end up being a large diameter and stick out, making it a knee injury waiting to happen.

And, they look ghetto IMO. I think there has to be a better way. Its such small part, if someone made something out of billet and offered it in 12.5 colors, they'd sell hundreds at $25ea.

i dunno.... Just brain storming really.

Yeah, I'd put some turf around it to keep it from doing more damage than I've already done.

Stop riding around on your knees! I need to make a pad to replicate the AST steering plate knee pad. I always hit my knee on my steering plate and have scars to prove it.

1. You can edit the thread title. Just go to "Advanced" after clicking "Edit", then you can do it.
2. I've used a stainless u-bolt with a backing plate with great success. Looks pretty clean, too.

Jetmaniac. He's got one that comes with his rope kits and it cool looking, low profile and bomber proof.

I picked up this one from SteveUK from ATP. Very heavy duty, and comes with a stainless backing plate. Mine came in a kit with the rope and bungee too though.
