Other Google and adult content on the X

Google has been cracking down lately on 'adult' oriented content lately. I've been notified twice this week that we were in violation due to the So In Love and Pics of girls and jetskis threads. I had to delete both. We had a previous violation for a 2007 Daytona thread with a bunch of pics of Tiffany Selby.

Per Google Adsense:
Google ads may not be placed on pages with adult or mature content. This includes, but is not limited to, pages with images or videos containing:

  • Strategically covered nudity
  • Sheer or see-through clothing
  • Lewd or provocative poses
  • Close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches

So, apparently we have to clean it up a little more to stay compliant. Thanks.

Im also pretty sure Google doesnt like Guns either, so I am surprised they havent said anything about the Handgun thread. I remember this subject from another forum, but could be wrong.

If you remember my guidelines for the So In Love thread, they followed their guidelines I thought but it appears they're cracking down some. There is a Google+ Hangout from June this year with a Google guy explaining in more detail their guidelines/etc that I've watched and their line is your pages that display Adsense ads must be safe for a 3 year old girl your 80 year old grandmother at the dinner table. Even linking to a 3rd party site is not allowed.

:wall:Very interesting .....

Daron, if you have time explain this a little more. Is google saying its inappropriate because their name is associated with the pics ? If so how can they condone millions of pictures on Google images .....

It's Google Adsense that has the rules. They do not allow monetizing adult oriented content with their ads due to advertisers' requirements. You don't see ads on Google Image Search.

Wow who still sees ads on webpages? Adblock baby! It even stops the ads from coming up on youtube videos. You're welcome. =)

But yet Google adsense has absolutely no issue with hijacking my back button on Internet Explorer with all their ads. An action that is clearly laid out as illegal in the online advertising regulations.
