It's sad it's on this site. This forum has the cleanest threads than other forums I was a member of. My friends on lightning rodders (ford lightning forum) and there's a section just for nudity after you verify your age. But we get ed over a girl covering herself.

Dont get me wrong, I love, love, love all the banned content. well okay Im pretty grossed out by some of the super extra large women guys put up for a gag-(figurative and literal) But will it kill me if its not in one single area on here? probably not.

im not worried that my freedom is being stepped on. now an internet wide sensorship would be alarming indeed.

Guys, it is simple, Google Ads helps pay for the site to run, plain and simple. It is their rules. So, We can drop Google Ads, but then somebody is going to have to step up and pay the bills. We can start by charging you a dollar per "for sale" ad you place, and we would have to limit the number of items, we cant have you taking advantage of us right........... What yall want to do? And before we drop them, enough money would need to be raised to cover at least 2 years fees. This way after the first year, we are not struggling to raise the money to pay the next 12 months fees......................

Just to clarify, you guys are confusing Google with Adsense. Adsense is owned by Google, but it's a specific service that has specific guidelines/rules. If we want to use them, we have to abide.

On the next level, our hosting provider has rules also though they are looser than Adsense's and we've never had an issue. They do not allow nudity though, so to go that route we'd have to move and after so many years with urljet and their great service, I'm not doing that.

Just out of curiosity, is the featured video and pic thread in danger of being lost too? Those videos/pics of freerides always have girls in bikinis walking around... Would hate to lose that too. No offense, but if all we had on here was "text" forum posts this place would be pretty boring. Would it make sense just to remove the ads from those particular threads?

you cant remove ads from specific threads, does not work that way, the ads are always running in the background.

Just use common sense. a picture on the beach of a girl in a "Bikini" is not going to get flagged, unless it is a "Bikini" pic that you would not let your 6 year old see. Yes, there are some out there that belong on a stage with a pole attached to it.

I meant in the past. it seemed we were always chasing a deadline to get funds. seems like that pressure has been gone with the new setup. remember, Im old like you, even though it was probably 3-4 years ago, seems like not that long ago to me. lol

And...we just got disabled from Adsense thanks to a thread from 2011 where guys were purposely posting closeups of breasts. I didn't remember that thread at all until I saw a link to it in the 'your account has been disabled' e-mail.

I just removed 2 more threads that were potential problems, but with over 1.2 million posts it's just crazy to go through all of them.

Only 1 of our flagged threads have been more current than 2011 and it had been locked since April, just not deleted. We're doing the right things but it appears some older threads were marginal.

That's a real ball buster. Is there anyway you can use whatever tools adsense uses to search the way they do? Like you said, searching over millions of posts is improbable, but they must have some way of doing it if they are literally digging up the past.
Do they just outsource searching to India, or do they have legit tools or filters to find it? I would like to think they would help in this endeavor of cleaning up and maintaining a pg rated atmosphere.

I don't envy any mods role on any forum. Good luck with the house cleaning & keeping.

Nice, we got a timeout from Google. Is it for a fixed amount of time or do you just notify them once the corrections have been made?

Everyone can help, if you're digging around and see something that doesn't fit the guidelines, just hit the Report This Post button on it and we'll either remove the pic or post or whole thread.

This is not a 'timeout', sites being disabled can fairly often turn into a permanent block.

I'm digging around looking for more stuff and will submit a request for reinstatement later but have a feeling if we get reinstated and there is another violation they'll just block us.

I've deleted a lot of threads since this all started including the first violation in April.
