hmm the used boxter motor are pricey but not as bad as the trannies needed. I am still learning about these trucks and very excited to go take a look at one tommorrow. i will post some pics up if i bring it home. its an 84 so i think it has a 1.9 wasserboxxer in it.

Well my old Yale isn't a powerhouse, but I could play some good pranks on the neighbors. Dude, where's my car?

Mine is small enough that it might fit through a regular doorway, except the 2 stage mast is a bit too tall. Really a neat machine for being 56yrs old. And it purrs, I love old American quality.

is it green? you will find yourself collecting old skids to pile stuff on just so you can move it with the yale. we had a very old one too that had no brakes and was just dangerous so we got rid of it. i am sure someone is still using it. i think it was a lansing. this hyster is a 3 post and goes way higher, we had to take out a row of block on our shop door header to clear it.

The Yale is yellow, but needs to be repainted badly. So far I've had to figur out the wiring for a 12v conversion, remove and reinstall the starter, clean the fuel system, and get a rigged electric fuel pump working. The brakes don't work, yet. As you can imagine, this thing has sat unused for awhile. The clutch frivtion disc is also stuck to the flywheel, so I have to pull the top of the tranny off to get it freed up. I drove it for a few minutes, and not having powers steering suck big donkey balls. I'm gonna have Popeye arms.

i have been on a propane yale. i tried a nissan one too, it was old but still worked awesome. our new one is huge as you can see, well not huge huge but big for lifting skis. i put my ski on a skid today and lifted it onto my new toy it worked okay but i didn't like the skid making my ski sit higher. i may build a better skid, lol. check out the new vw ski hauler. its and 85 that is solid still. needs some TLC but i think its a keeper. 1 tonne truck. haha.
