Like any modified motor there is some trial and error to get it dialed in. In Crammits case he runs a package that Jetworks recommended. And when I say that, from ignition, to porting, to stroke, to pump. He has helped others get similar packages and they work well.
Charles, correct me if I am wrong.

If you have a builder just build you a motor, they can give you some good starting points but it may take some tinkering with to get it right.[/quote]

That's true, but in Gil's case he didn't just get a motor built. He's running everything recommended by his builder. Gil was going to install his motor but was told to bring it to the builders shop to have it installed and setup so it would be perfect from the outset. Unfortunately he can't run back up to the shop to get it dialed in now. Tough to tune a boat when the builder is now 10 hours away. I really do hope he can get it all worked out as I know he had very high hopes and has been fairly disappointed so far.

Um... R&D, DASA, Lamey, all the same. Someone correct me incase I missed something.

Kennay, your wrong..........there, I said it.

The dominator sleeves are sleeves that R&D designed using Flat Top pistons, these were designed for Superstock class race ski's. You still use the stock cylinders.

And after looking at some pics of his ski, it looks like he does have a stock cylinder, but that is not what I was going on based on what he claimed as his current specs.

"R&D Dominator 785cc cylinder"

The sleeves are what is called "Dominator". That is what I went by..........

R&D has never made cylinders, they had DASA stamp them R&D. RIVA use to sell them also, I cannot remember if they had a RIVA stamp on them or not. May have been the R&D stamp.

No mate, iam am not limited by power in the slightest.

Personally i cant roll or flip yet but a buddy of mine can hull to hull my ski in a breeze. He always raves about how strong my power is in the middle, right where you need it.
I dont think it has the bottom end to flatwater flip, all the power is right in the middle. In the middle its pretty explosive to be honest.

But am also a complete petrol head and cant help the want for more power.

your mid range power most likely comes from the R&D sleeves. Not sure if the port window on them is already raised, may be hurting your bottom. Never delt with those sleeves. Maybe Chuckie or someone will chime in.......

From where though buddy. Strokers arent that popular here in the UK?

Id probably be better off getting one built and shipped from the US. Which one is best, how much power am i likely to get and what sort of cost is involved?

Will i be able to use any of my current block?

Perhaps you shouldn't be so down on the UK Frayz, there are lots of them over here, in fact the person who built your engine actually makes stroker cranks.
Good to hear you're back on the water,
Chris.

I like my LPW Lamey just fine. For the record.

I am doing some tuning/tweaking trying to get all it's got out of it.

I am putting 195 main jets and 175 pilot jets in it and a 17/25 prop in it tonight as well as a oem stk exhaust. That should do the trick.

Sorry Chris, i didnt mean that to sound negative. I was just saying that they seem to be alot more popular in the US than they are here in the UK.

Ive since spoken with Alan about stroking my existing setup. But unsure as to how much more bang vs buck im gonna get. My engine last made 106bhp on Alans dyno.

What are your thoughts on changing my setup?

Good to hear from you, i'll be on your ear for a front exit exhaust soon. Still never got round to fitting one lol.
