Like any modified motor there is some trial and error to get it dialed in. In Crammits case he runs a package that Jetworks recommended. And when I say that, from ignition, to porting, to stroke, to pump. He has helped others get similar packages and they work well.
Charles, correct me if I am wrong.
If you have a builder just build you a motor, they can give you some good starting points but it may take some tinkering with to get it right.[/quote]
That's true, but in Gil's case he didn't just get a motor built. He's running everything recommended by his builder. Gil was going to install his motor but was told to bring it to the builders shop to have it installed and setup so it would be perfect from the outset. Unfortunately he can't run back up to the shop to get it dialed in now. Tough to tune a boat when the builder is now 10 hours away. I really do hope he can get it all worked out as I know he had very high hopes and has been fairly disappointed so far.
