Custom/Hybrid Green WCF Vision (Carbon hood)

I'm more of an observer on the X, but since I'll be receiving a new WCF Vision hull next week to replace my '00 RN I decided it's time to join in. I'll start with a few pics that Steve from WCF has sent me during the build process, and try to figure out how to manage my own thread. Bear with me in these early stages :)

Steve at Watercraft Factory has been awesome and built everything down to the little details just like I wanted. Hopefully it will arrive at my house sometime next week. I'll add a few pics at that time and maybe a few of my RN before I tear it to pieces. Please let me know what you guys think so far, I've been drooling over these pics and I can't wait to get a hold of this thing!

Thanks guys, I'm sure I've forgotten to get something that I will need to make this thing run... Eh, we'll see soon enough.

Nice looking hull and the hood is gorgeous. I'm drooling myself. I'd like to get my feet in a vision hull sometime.

^^ awesome keepin it simple. Can't wait to see the finished products and hear a ride review. Specially cause one day i am sure i will be able to afford a hull but not those fancy shmancy motors too haha

I will definitely give updates on how it rides for me. I don't see a need for a crazy motor for me either. Who knows if this will change or not, but I just can't seem to see myself needing more than a 781 or something similar, and that is a long way down the road. I definitely over stepped my skill level by buying this hull, but I'm confident that with a near stock 701 it will keep me occupied for a long time. Especially since I'm chomping at the bit to put it in the salt someday. Probably in January at the Daytona Freeride!??! Road trip!

The hull shipped from Florida on Monday so I'm hoping I get lucky and it shows up Friday so I can work on it all weekend. In the mean time I have been working on my fuel tank trying to figure out the best way to convert it to internal fill for cheap. Here's what I came up with after reading endless threads on the topic. I'll just have to wait and see if there are any clearance issues with the hood. I used the stock tube that connects the external fuel fill and cut it up to make the connections you see. This is the only part that I modified, as I was hesitant to cut into my factory tank after drooling over the new Cold Fusion fuel tank. This will do for now.

P.S. Don't ask me why there's a bolt blocking off one of my pickup lines... The previous owner insisted that he made that mod and discarded the pickup line.:smashfreakB: I'm currently working on a clunk system with two pickups to return it to stock function (If I have the nerve to put the selector switch on the dash of my new Vision) Idk yet?

I was looking for a Deka ETX9 to go in my Vision, and ended up getting this: http://www.batterymart.com/p-Big-Crank-ETX9-Battery.html
The Big Crank ETX9 is made in the USA by East Penn, who is also the manufacturer of Deka batteries, so I gave it a shot since the price was right with free shipping. I had to call in to batterymart because I fat fingered my billing address. They were awesome to work with, and very helpful. He made sure that my battery made it to shipping today (even though it was late in the day by then) which was much appreciated. I plan on making a billet aluminum battery tray for it, so if my hull isn't here on Friday I should have time to get that done (even though I probably will procrastinate until the very last second) :)

I have a big crank etx9 and its going on 3 seasons now. Seems exactly the same as deka but has a different sticker.

If it was me i would just run a single fuel line with no selector, dash will look cleaner and you will never have to worry about the fuel selector giving you fits.
