Seems really tall compared to the similar existing products, like you know what steering is already going to be used. Any spec comparisons you care to divulge?

It seems tall but we already did a mock up and it feels extremely comfortable . It will use the lowered bracket and nose piece (modified to blend in).I'm looking at a UMI x2 steering set up. Will see when the time comes. I am tring to avoid a bulky system so I can keep it somewhat light and with no direct flat surfaces for impact reasons.

Ok what makes the fixed steering setup so great? Is it one of those things that you have to experience it to appreciate.

How long does it take to change from regular to fixed setup. And what would the setup cost complete ready to bolt on?

Did you have a close encounter of the third kind and start making this hood in your living room.

It looks like a 24/7 hood with a cardboard box on top and some mud slapped on the sides.

I've never been a big fan of conversion hoods and this one appears to be too tall with the bar stem mounted way forward IMO.

It looks too tall but when you mock a steering on it it feels very comfortable and not to stretched out forward and low. I have noticed on some new aftermarkets x2 set ups that the steering stem is much longer to compensate for the lower center . It would be almost like if you rode with the handlepole real low, after a while , your back would be killing you.

BTW, your right, your the second one to make a close encounter reference:scared:

Personally I prefer the hood to be lower and make my height adjustments with the handlebars, but hey what do I know?

I can tell you from your experience, it's not like riding with a low pole. your arms help support your weight.

looks interesting. good luck!
