It sucks and is inexcusable. The reason nobody knows about it is that the unfortunate customer chose to keep it quiet and didn't speak up. That problem you're complaining about? You're part of it.

Everyone knows about WDK issues. People know about Rickter's taking a long time to get delivered and about their (early) quality issues.

I did post about it, but since I'm not a post whore on this site none of my post or threads get much attention. Tem has a big following so what I say doesn't mean much.

Everyone hear damn well knows if you started a negative freak thread the wolves would pounce. Lets just say Steve is definately not the only one missing deadlines.... I have a great story to tell but its just gonna make guys like BK jump down my throat. I. hope swapmeet gets what he wanted out of all this....
 
Yeah the problem is at 3500-5k there is No customer loyalty... at 8-10k to get a painted turffed ski you are more proud and not gonna bash your gonna tell your self it's the best thing since sliced bread!!!!

If you started a negative Freak feedback thread (or any negative feedback thread) that accurately recounts your negative buying/product experience, then the only people allowed to post in that thread are the involved parties. So no, no pouncing.

When were you supposed to get it?

The date has moved around quite a bit. It was by mutual agreement, I wasn't lied to about it, and I am not currently chomping at the bit to get it nor is my continued riding hinging upon it.
A lot of my comments made in this thread apply here, too - I'll get more specific at a later time. Promise :)

It was a big part of why I didn't buy another Freak.

It's not even customer loyatly, some guys just like to say they have the best stuff and wont consider cheaper alternatives because its obviously not as good. Its not just hulls, it goes for most of this stuff this industry. I know guys that wont touch blackjack carbs, because there "not as good as Novi's and full specs" only looking at the cost of the carbs


You're right. That was part of why the "high dollar hull crowd" was (or still is) bitching at Ski Clinic all the time.

So the more you pay the better it is?

More often than not, you do get what you pay for. But, a few people take this to the extreme, unfortunately.
And that rule definitely doesn't apply to a/m hulls. IMHO

Matt responded about neg feedback. Tell your story. You will not get jumped on by me. My comments to you were basically saying that sometime it is best to not try and defend someone because sometimes it can make matters worse even though you mean well. No bias here. I ride an OEM hull. Personally I like the looks and Fit and Finish of the Chan over many others. If I can bolt everything up with minimal grinding that is the route I would go. I do not want to spend 40 hours just prepping a hull before I dan start to install motor and driveline like has to be done with other hulls.

Are you sure? I think he has gotten nothing BUT praise for his hull, his build quality, and his finish work. I think it's amazing, especially for what he charges. I don't think I've ever seen a negative thing about any of that.
The issues being talked about have nothing to do with his product.
Contrary to what some might think, I want him to succeed and be a viable option in this (fickle) market. I am not griping at him because I like being mean or I can't stand him. How could I, I don't know him at all. I am trying to offer constructive criticism on how to be a better all-around option. I don't think it's being received very well, but that's not unexpected. That's the problem here right now: Any criticism at all is seen as an out of hand dismissal of the entire brand. You guys are taking any criticism as a personal attack. That's a mistake.

A sane response of a mature business would be "gee, I'm sorry - let's see how we can improve and better this perception!" instead of lashing out and trying personal attacks on a public forum. Just a suggestion.
I don't have a brand to defend/represent. You do.

The thing is, if your gonna shower the guy with phone calls msgs and texts about nonsense or too ask questions you can answer yourself then realize its gonna take a little longer than expected. I could throw everyones favorite companys under the bus about a full build. my buddy paid 31000$ for last year. Mr know it all billy bo susposedly built the pos too and just about everything had to be redone after two weeks. It took.over 6 months to get said ski and was nothing but problems. Guess what? Nobody answered there phones either. If they responded to everysingle msg n call nothing would get done.

umm. i've only built one ski for anyone in this country on this forum. my stuff goes out of the states. any one i have done business with i talk to. i help people out for free all the time because i'm in a position to help. so if you want to spread lies. at least do something realistic. none of the guys in the uae or saudi have a problems with my ability to put out something to their standard. they even ask me if i sleep because i'm always available.

so why lie? because it's what you fan boyz do :) steve uses me for information and has never had any intention on buying anything from me. i don't care. it's life haha.

No lies. we were told you built this ski. we were never in contact with you. you susposedly built thisski for thrust. you did not build the red n black freak with white and black turf that went to California last year?
