Thanks @Sanoman I’m a bit ocd when I’m on projects!

Trying to get my pole as straight as an arrow and it’s still a hair off.

I put a washer on the right side hoping to shim it a bit. Helped a little.

The only fix I see is reaming out the pole bracket bolt holes to shift it.

Am I being too crazy and just leave it ??

Did you test fit your motor yet? I’m betting it’s reallllly close to that tank and the straps. I struggled with front cover rubbing the tank from time to time and finally just turfed a section of the tank.

In hindsight I probably shouldn’t have done a build thread because of lack of time. This was somewhat 1/2 assed.

No pics of the finished product because we slaughtered the fuel/ water line routing just to get on the water. Not my style of work so when I re- do everything perfect in the off season I’ll post pics.

Ride review:

I only had 1 weekend on the havoc so far. My first time on an a/m hull, and carbon no less.
Coming from a superjet it felt tiny. I usually ride surf stance so learning to ride in both the footholds will take some getting used too.
It’s stupid lightweight, even when I was breaking in the engine at 1/2 throttle I felt like I was flying off boat wakes. Lots of fun.

The ported jm 718 with a b - pipe felt like a beast compared to the stock 701. And the throaty sound from the jm waterbox was turning heads. Reminded me of my 1100 blaster with the rad dudes box.

Not sure if I need a slightly longer pole or just some getting used to it. It’s a comp xm with rrp steering and riser bars flat to gain a little extra. I’m 5’11” and I felt hunched over.

Other than a scare on first start up when the engine ran away everything went great. Easy build, not too much fabbing and a big thanks to @JetManiac for knowing what the havoc needed. Just sucks the summers almost over

Def a light hull! I loaded and unloaded it several times by myself when we were having it repaired and painted.

Give the pole length some time to get used too, generally the taller you are, the shorter you want the pole. If the pole bolts are tight, you can raise the pole and then kinda lean on it for back relief... That's what i do anyway...

Glad to see it's on the water, good luck!

Congrats man! Sounds a lot like my first ride. I also came from a superjet and my havoc was the first AM hull I ever rode. Don’t lengthen that pole yet. Try riding with the pole down for a bit to get used to it. I’m 5’10” and when my ski had the normal length pole on it I was wayyy leaned back. The thing rode nose high. Everyone who rode it complained about the pole length. Shortened it to comp length and it was much more comfortable. Idk what you prefer, but my pole is tight as hell. So tight that it squeaks when you move it. This makes it wayyyy easier to ride also.

Congrats man! There’s still plenty of warm weather left! Enjoy!

One note to add regarding the flame arrestors-I have the stock air box and it’s rubbing a hole in the carbon hood liner. I push down on the bars hard when getting to my knees. Going to switch to tau cetis in hope of getting lower.
