Freestyle Help me decide: eme copy hull or wamilton sxr hull?

The goose, is loose. So is this just a direct copy? If so, what would possess you to buy a "copy"? It may be cheap, but its not right. Even the carbon superjet copies had their own twist. Shorter, wider, different hoods, pole bracket location, and slight rocker front or rear.
The guy in who is blowing out copy gen2 x2s and Superjets is just a pure cheap copy and he seems to be selling them. And they are being bought then resold when people find they can't ever bolt motors in the things.

if its cheap people buy without questions

i guess thats kinda what im getting at... its cheap. and probably for a reason. i havent seen it so i cant vouch for quality and all that. but hes still pumping out copied hulls. even at great quality, reselling a direct copy isnt right.

Ignoring any moral implications here, I'd be worried about quality and what you have to do to make it rideable.
The guy cranking out those X2's and SJ copies is a full on retard with horrible quality.

Don't know for sure about Goose/TeamBill, but I don't think quality was one of his/their signature traits.

Extreem Throttle seems to be doing ok at it.
Lower quality but cheaper price Kawi swap
Lower Quality but cheaper price 1100 oil block off.

People buy based on price then quality second.

And the "name drop" LOL. More than those examples on here. When people are made aware of it they just shrug it off. Oh well move forward, OP verify that it will meet with your level of acceptance before you layou the dough.

Or just buy a legit hull and never have to worry about it and it will be resellable and keep more value

The 1100 swap kit as an example is a stretch. Their kit is a completely different approach than yours. Very different then pulling a exact mold off an EME hull. Looks like you radd dudes produce some nice parts but its very sad to see you trash every other company in the biz who could possibly be a threat to you. Let your product and customer service speak for itself.

Someone who is copying a hull then selling the copy hull and keeping the original hull is obviously doing it for money and practice. Someone with composite skills and an understanding of water dynamics would be more likely to make a splash of the original hull then modify it from there to fit his needs or to improve upon the design of the original. This type of person would sell the original hull then continue testing their own product whether it be for themselves or to produce and sell. Saving money is always good but there's a reason he's selling the copy hull... What do you think the reason is for selling the copy hull and keeping the original? Pretty sure the answer will be "quality"

Not trashing anyone. Just posting facts. Sorry you feel that way. Your post makes me think you are and educated person. So take an educated look at what I said and what the parts are.

It's like anything. You have years of R&D and money into a product that wasn't on the market. You kinda take it to hart when someone who you had a working relationship with and referred customers to comes out with a cheaper version with the only difference is it mounts the motor in the wrong place to save money on a different midshaft.

So to the point. Yes people buy parts based on price not engineering.

Go tell EME they are trashing Goose when they get mad he copied their hull...... Lol

Man you get what you pay for (and this is coming from someone who is known for being notoriously thrifty)...
Buy it right the first time so you don't have to "save money" by buying the same stupid thing over and over again at a "cheaper" price.

Meh, I wouldn't run the copy hull. Who knows how much work it will take to make it work, what quality it is, and oh the whole moral thing too that it's a ripoff of someone else's hard work.

There are plenty of affordable used AM hulls floating around...that's what I did, just stalked the Hulls For Sale section until I found something close that fit the bill.

I wouldn't say it's a copy. I wanted what I couldn't get from Eric. 1 thing was a bigger pump tunnel to feed a bigger pump the other was a hull that the engind plates didn't fall out of. I had 6 hulls laid up because including smdubs a group of us went into this project together to make them untill Sam when on his own. I was left sitting with 6 hulls. The guy was looking for one setup for a sxr setup so I offered it. I have them sitting here and I still ended up designing and building another hull for myself. As far as eme quality smdubs didn't you hafta split you hull and completely re do it? But that's good quality to you? My time is consumed with building poles and pumps to help make this sport affordable. When people quit buying them I'll look into something else weather it's I the jetski industry or something else. Fiberglass work sucks. I had a brand new shop turned into a mess in a matter of months because of other lack of respect for my shop and just how messy that type of work alone is. I just didn't feel the need sit around on these hulls which is why I offered it.

My new hull and motor should be available by Xmas.

I have built a hull that weighs 6.2 lbs and a 1600cc motor that runs on air.

LTD- so you took an existing design, nodded it to your likeing and made it? Well that doesn't sound much different from what some other manufacturers do,who started with a completely clean slate?

Whats the difference between the Rad Dudes Power Factor pipe conversion plate and the Power Factor pipe conversion plate? Is the quality the same since the price is the same?
