Custom/Hybrid Help me pick a hull

I am not opposed to starting over with a yamaha. I see a couple wdk rok for sale and they seem to be liked. Im leaning twards one of those or a lightweight sxr copy like trinity or bullet. Thanks for all the opinions. The wheels are turning. My biggest worry is getting a hull that will do a backflip but wont carve. I do expect some compromise and assume no matter what it wont handle like my sxr.

A rok does both. It will flip with some skill, it isn't easy, but does everything else great too. Good luck with your search!

I wasn't going to cheer for what I ride, but I've only had good experiences with EME. Ran a Kawi motor last season, dropping in a Dasa for this year. Sorry about Lakeboys situation, but are we hearing the whole story ? Eric's follow up has been great. But I still urge you to ride as many hulls as you can, and make your own decision .

I mentioned a bullet to some of my friends who ride SXRs (asking if they would upgrade, ive heard good things about bullet quality). They said they have ridden the bullet and it's aggressive and harder to ride than the SXR. More pro based. Not sure if this is true. I;ve never ridden one.

You need to look up Zack Bright on here or Facebook. Hook up with him and his bro you can test ride a JB1 and a Footrocket.
I am coming to San Diego Friday and should be seeing Zack if you want to hookup. Hit me up.

Like it's been said multiple times in this thread, your best bet is the trinity. And you can't go wrong. I ride a bob and I'm not going to try and sell one to you. A foot rocket could be a good choice for you.
Dont waste your time with anything wdk. Definitely not a vision or a vengeance. Half the people on here just want you to buy the same hull as them.

Not true. I owned a rok, and sold it to a friend looking to progress. Great all around boat, hated to sell it but I wanted to focus on flat water. I recommended it because they are dirt cheap and it fit the description. I wouldn't buy anything direct from WDK, but there are plenty of used ones out there that are solid and very well priced. You may as well stick with a stocker if you want a full sized sxr. Trinity is nice but what are you really gaining? Same boat only lighter?? Not worth the $$ in my opinion.
