yeah.. hatfield/ mccoy is pretty great. MI has over 3500 miles of puclic trails for motorcycles. all you need is a $16 ORV sticker and have at them. the norther half of the lower peninsula and all over the UP there are place to ride. if you have some place in particular you want to go let me know, I'm sure I can hook you up with trail info and maybe even organize a ride.

that looks like some great riding!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's my favorite spot to ride here, but it's brutal on bikes and riders, the pics dont even begin to describe what the rock is like.

we start off about 8-9 in the morning and get back just before dark, usually about 35 miles for the day is the best we can manage. and it's not because any of us are poor riders.. it's just that rough. even with GPS and trail markers, sometimes the trail just disapears and we have to search for it. rocks, roots, logs, trees, mud, repeat... last year we killed one bike, 3 tires and 6 tubes, one starter switch, a few pieces of plastic, a few randome bolts went MIA, one brake caliper, and one of our regular group couldnt even bring himself to ride the second day.

ah yes... good times. :wavey:

sounds like "The Gobler Getter" here in Alabama, it is a Enduro in Maplesville. The first half is tough, I never went beyond that point, a buddy did the next section. We went and waited at the checkpoint that crossed the road of that 8 mile section. Everybody that came out looked like they went 10 rounds with Tyson or Holifield... Tight, rough, never a chance to catch your breath.

That sounds tough 35 miles in a day must be rough terrain. we averaged 59 miles a day in W.V.
we do the Boon Run ( point to point Balwin to Boon and back on single track) in about 3/4 of a days ride. 10-ish till 3-ish. thats like 85 miles total. thats a normal pace for this group with breaks and fuels stops.
