High Roller Customs

I say give the guy a chance . Typically guys that start producing specialty items like this are creative enthusiast not business minded . I applaud his attempt at producing a budget hull. Admittedly more testing / R+D should be done before you go to market in order to avoid " Bad press". Having said that , everyone who has bought a AM hull no matter who made it should know " Caveat emptor " buyer beware . Very few hulls have withstood the test of time . Is it realistic to expect a light 60 pound hull for 2,000 or 10,000 to take the abuse, stress and neglect that some you guys are capable of dishing out ? I say not .

This is unsolicited advise I would give any body in business .

1. Under promise and over deliver

2. ALways Always Always be honest . People will work with you if you speak truth and communicate. Ex. if you don't have a hood say I don't have a hood. If there are no complete running boats other than a proto type say , We only have one proto type hull in service .

The hull is poor quality but it's dirt cheap. buyers better now how to work with composites or it's going to fail miserably. I doesn't matter if goose laid it up or dan laid it up, it's a low quality mold. It's the best deal going if u can make, inserts, bulkheads and hoods. Someone needs to post Pics of bulkhead and engine mounting plates. It's all in line for the price of the hull but it's the cheesiest thing I've seen. It's a great idea and platform for a hull, and if u have the skills u can make a light acrobatic hull for reasonable money. However it's an extreme amount of work. Goose laid up chads hull just fine, it just looked rough because the molds look like a beaver chewed on them. Goose always said dan owed the hood dan said goose owed the hood. Hood never came ( which after seeing pics was no great loss). So someone got out of sending me a hood I payed for.

Would I buy another one? Hell no!

And remember all of this is my opinion.

so what about it makes you think its going to fail miserably? and ive got my hood, and it is very nice.

Tom has had just about every aftermarket hull out there. If anybody can make a statement like that. He can. His statements are not comments like those made by others who really dont know their ass from their head.

I wanna know how the hell(and why) do you make a mold that looks like a Beaver chewed on it in the first place?!?! :dunno:

Like this.......

Keep in mind, while this may resemble a ride plate, please do not be fooled, it is some new concave fly swatter/dustpan.

I watched someone stand on that thing and it bent like a dang plastic bowl or something. He barely even put any pressure on it.

What a crock.

i dont have a camera right now but i will take pics of the chin pads they sent us! it is a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 piece of mat with some resin in the middle that kind of looks like a chin pad. I guess they wanted us to add more resin then cut out the part, sand it smooth on the bottom then turf it. I wish someone else would make these hulls, someone that actually takes pride in thier work. then more ppl would buy them. As for me I will never buy :):):):) from "you gotta be high as phuc roller" or goose again and if one of you two are reading this, TAKE SOME PRIDE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR WORK!!!

When you are making composite parts it all comes down to the mold,if you don't take the time and build the mold properly then everything that comes out of it looks like crap,I can see maybe cheaping out on a mold that you are going to use only a couple of times hell I have 40 or so of those here now, some are made with a few layers of glass and corrugated cardboard but if you are going to be pulling hulls out of a mold that you are then going to be selling to other people you don't cheap out on the mold ever.

A fool and his money is one big party.

I'm with you. I wouldn't buy ANY aftermarket hull without trying it first.

Since you posted this in a thread about Highroller Customs people are going to assume you got it from me. So I wanted to post and tell everyone that it did not come from me or have anything to do with me.

That's all.

For me it was easy. I rode Korns SKR and loved it aside from it being a heavy heavy pig.

So light SXR with Yami motor/pump was a no brainer. Which left only one Mfg.

WDK envy!

Guys, let me clarify something openly. This is not a Highroller Plate. This is 100% Pure Team Billchit.

Dan is OK in my book.

Aside from the poor quality/late deliveries/non exsistent hood how can u guys throw down $ for a hull that u have no idea how it rides? Just cause it's short and the pole bracket is moved forward dosnt mean it's going to ride good. Allot more goes
into designing a hull than cutting up a superjet. That also goes for another more "respected" hull builder who everyone praises without ever even riding the hull. Testing should he done before the mold is made. Not after. Even if it does ride good it's because they got lucky/copied something that works. To truely build a ski to it's full potential the plug needs to be ridden/refined extensivly before the mold is made to ensure you are releasing the best product possible. (and no have a couple guys ride around in circles in a mudpuddle the size of a swimming pool for an afternoon dosnt count) A fool and his money is easily parted..

Ps. A sj still works best

I am not sure which builder you are referring too, but if it is the one I am thinking of. Yes, there was a whole lot of testing done long before a mold was made. They would ride, sand, shape, patch, repair, test, start over. Grind, Cut. Until they had was was felt to be the best design. Also, Former World Champions, Pro Freestylers, Pro/Am Racers, and others helped with the feedback on the design before it ever went to the mold process.

If you are going to call some builder out, have the balls to name them by name instead of leaving it up to the imagination. Otherwise your comments do not have much credibility or substance other than just talking smack.

Now get back on your ski and start riding again!.

Was the tray turfed or just the footwells? Kinda hard to test a ski's turning abilities when u can't even stand in the right place to lay down a proper turn..just sayin..

Where is the popcorn smiley??

Not really sure what your referring too.
