Highroller, I was a bit harsh. I was frustrated because a use just came up for the hood I gave to Chad and it reminded me of the unresolved situation. Although its still a goose said Dan owed the hood and dan said goose owed the hood dispute, Goose did call me today and offer a solution, that definately stalled my rant. I still don't know who to blame, but Im gonna let it drop. It really doesnt do anybody any good, to beat this to the ground, so thats the last of the hood drama you will read about from me.
I like the stunt hull concept and design and its priced right to get more people in the game. I'm looking forward to trying Chads ski.

as far as i am concerned they are in the same sinking boat! i had to talk to both of them to get my pole. I have also seen pictures of thier work. the stunt hull that is being built by a board member looks to be built like crap! it was missing a complete corner! the ride plate that was built by whom ever looks like crap too! the hulls are being sold without hoods wtf, there isn't another hood that will even come close to futting it so why sell it when you dont have a hood for it! then bill and dan play the blame game "well he is supposed to build it, bo he is building it" while people are waiting months to get hoods! I also have a carbon hood that goose built and it is the worst quality hood i have ever seen! the products from this team of "experts" speak the truth!
Come on dude... I'm sorry to hear the stuff you got is junk. That would piss me off too but you're not reading the whole story behind either of those situations and they are right here in this thread. Both of those were built by goose. Dan clearly doesn't care if you bash him as he's already stated but I don't want to see an innovator for our sport be burned at the stake because of who they used to work with.
What's next? There is a guy on here that cut and modified a BUN pipe to fit his Q8 hull. Are we going to start saying that all BUN pipes are now crap because that one looks like poo when it's clearly written that BUN didn't make the pipe like that?

When l recieved my hull,everything was there,including the hood! Even the corner was there. l certainly hope you feel better after your rant!!!!

I think he is talking about me , On one pic I showed how short the hull was and some of the gelcoat was gone from the corner of the hull. Quick fix.
Highroller is currently making them. Mine should ship out very soon...

Dan is a good guy. He built me a lightweight flat water octane that I love. Total weight is about 270lbs. There is no foam in it and no bulk head and everything is still in line and running strong. I have been beating the thing up for over a year now I guess, and its still in one piece.
Goose also was a good guy to me and hooked me up with one of his pole set ups with pad for free last year cause I was in need. The pole bolted up fine and the chin pad looks great. It too is still holding up just fine.
If I had the cash I would buy a stunt hull because I will never be able to afford a $5,000-$10,000 hull that can use a limited motor set up to do flat water backies. Sure these hulls arnt a work of art but you get what you pay for

I am sitting here looking at a highroller front foothold and i didnt even know how you could possibly get air bubbles that big in glass not to mention the how inconsistent it is there is at least a half inch of resin in some spots

Was it from me or a copy? Eitherway send it back and I'll send you a new one. I'm usually not to worried about the looks of the inside of a front foothold when I make one to be honest. Seeing you'll never see the inside and there is no structural need. But if your not happy send it back and I'll make you a new one.

I agree... who cares. Its on the backside. The turfed side is the important one. A front foothold does not even need to be very strong either. It's not like you are landing all your weight on top of it like a regular hold.
Mine had an air gap as well right at the front. My knee slammed onto that spot one day. Hurt like hell but the foothold was so strong even with the air pocket that it didn't do a thing.
I wasn't going to say anything because it sounds bad even though it isn't but sometimes you have to weigh which is more important...a cheap part with flaws that will do the job or perfect part that is twice the price and performs the same job but in that 1 in 100,000 chance, the perfect will make it and the flawed part won't.
FYI - Planes are designed as if there was a flaw so that if there is one, it doesn't matter or the operator will be able to find it before it's a problem. It's called design as opposed to trial and error. :fing02:

to add to what sportfish said, i think communication, albeit "effective" communication is the key to ANY relationship. Be it the relationship between you and your boss, you and your wife, customer to client, builder to rider of whatever.
That being said: there are choices out there so take care of your customers

WDK: bought a hood w a ski and the liner separated but the whole ski came off the trailer at a high rate of speed, lets say 100mph and ground a flat spot on the side of the hood, but that beast hood is still strong as ever. Sold it to X2addict and he fixed the liner easily and was rocking it at daytona. AWESOME product for the price!
Goose: pole was crooked to begin with, sent me another, same bend, different side. Never recieved all the hardware to install. still waiting on a chinpad he promised over a year ago.
highroller: he is giving away free stuff to erok sounds like a good guy to me.
