Other Hitch Hauler Lets see everyone's Hitch Hauler pics and setups

Yep if a cop is in a bad mood they could stop you and break your chops. But like I said I have gone 1000s of miles and so have the others in our group with no issues. And the hundreds we sell a year I have yet to have a custom email us with any issue of it not being legal.

What would you like to know about it? It's all aluminum I put transom retractable ratchet ties on the rear to hold the ski down. Used azek for the tops of the rails. The rails are made out of 6" aluminum I beam and it has a solid 2" box tube for the receiver. I can get you some more pictures tomorrow

What's the best way to build a hitch hauler? I was thinking of just using a dirtbike one and converting the rack to carpeted rails. Any ideas.

Here is mine. The ski plus the hitch hauler drops the back of my truck about 2 inches. The hauler is heavy. Probably going to cut the tongue about 4-5 inches.

An enclosed trailer is nice but a pita when going to the lake solo.

Ha, No lake in the backyard, Just moving it with the hitch hauler and Ranger. The Ranger is licensed and legal to drive over to the lake , a few miles away. Those were at my Dads house in Wyoming.
