Actually my question was (what now appears to have failed) attempt at being whimsical. No hard feelings in either direction I hope. I love this forum. I was able to sell a ski here last month which isn't easy to do this time of year in Michigan.
No sweat. Yea, the ski is definitely out there & could be hit if your not careful. I don't usually drive around town or park at Walmart with the ski on the rack. When I do need to park some place with it on there & I am pretty careful to position it so others can't nail it, ie; park at the edge of the lot with the ski overhanging the grass around the lot.
I use the rack when I'm taking the ski to the marina, lake, campsite, etc. Then it's off the rack & in the water. The fact that I can get the ski on/off by myself & don't have any extra tires or licensing to mess with makes it pretty attractive.
