Blah... RRP poles are so thick... I think they look goofy at how beefy they are. I made mine out of smaller diameter and thicker wall as I like the long and lean look. And its adjustable similar to the RRP pole as the inner tubes are sleeve fit into the outers and are clamped down. Since I used thicker wall tubing (3/16 if i remember correctly), I was able to cut nice big juicey beveled holes for the cables to run through.
As for the goose poles, they are really to thin. he has to drill the holes for the cables very small (so if you lose those gromets you eat your cables up pronto) to retain his wall strength... cut them bigger and you will see the poles torque. And the subplates on them are silly huge and unbraced.
