This is what im going to paint my 550.
-Orange Carbon/Kevlar on the top of the hood and nose.
-Black strip down the center of the hood, handle pole, and nose.
-White and black hydroturf.
-The rest painted burnt candy orange.
Gonna look SHWEEET!

2 layers on the inside of the hood...All the plumbing and rear exhaust finished. Wood mold for when I pour the foam.
The wood mold worked out so good.
In case you guys have not noticed I've caught the bug again! I went riding in the Atlantic Ocean on the X2 in 10 foot waves last weekend and yea I want both ski's going!
Its closed cell foam. The package says if submerged under 1 foot of water it should not absorb anything until after 10 years

What foam did you use?
Some brand 2 part expanding pourable 2pound foam from marine trading post. (A small marine store in fort myers florida).
Since you shaved off the bond line, I'm hoping that you can do something that I was wanting to try myself- make a purpose-built drift ski. No, not drifting like the motor died so you just gave up and swam away from it, but a drift ski. One that you can easily throw into a controlled power-slide around corners like a rally car.
