MANIAC Strap Kit
Ratcheting hood strap kit- replaces stock hood latch
New ratchet supplier - ratchets have hole predrilled and higher quality mechanism, identical ratchet included with 'Blowsion Brap Strap'
These 1" ratchets are made of Type 304 Stainless Steel for marine and high moisture applications. The Chromium element in stainless steel allows the ratchet to form a passive rust layer on the surface that does not accelerate to the core of the steel. Chromium also has the natural ability to repair itself and form another passive layer if the ratchet is scratched for premium protection from moisture.

Work Load Limit: 586 lbs
Straps are Black Polyester Cargo Webbing with Web Tensile Strength of 4500 Lbs

A slightly different way to do it. I call it the door handle mod and it doubles as pole limiter.

not a bad idea... but now the weak spot would seem to be the fiberglass. so if that lets go, you loose your hood and have a giant hole in you bulk head. I would possibly think about one big 'ol back plate for the handle and stock hood latch, spread the pressure out over a larger area. But really liking how it doubles for hood latch and pole limiter.

I have four large backing washers for strength to prevent that from happening. I was considering making a big backing plate but with these four big washers its almost the same surface area. Should be stronger than just a normal single washer set up for a typical pole limiter. Plus the stock hood latch is still functional.

1 big washer on each side is all u need u dnt have to ratchet it dwn very tight for it to do its job
