Gotta go with Ross on this one... anyone doing anything in LA involving jet skis should get everyone stoked for it... Not sure about the copyright claim involving the poster but I will say; it is pretty typical that marketing materials for a project like this will change greatly between now and project completion... and putting "rough drafts" of completed posters, etc is just good business, it gets the name out for sure but now we all get to watch the entire program come together...

Even if the story is a re-hashed LA staple, it sounds like the gear and stuff they are using/doing to shoot the riding is going to be epic! And really, if they can capture the riding in that way then it will be something that truly opens people eyes to what the different aspects of water scooter riding has evolved into (remember, most people get images from the '80s in their head when someone say they ride a jet ski).

I will be pretty stoked to watch this project come together and see the final result... oh, and not for nothing, but anyone that plunks down a multi-million dollar budget to help promote skis deserves to line their pockets a bit, just sayin...

Well Said.

I am still trying to figure out when the word "Profit" became such a bad thing.

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz.—With just three U.S. qualifying events remaining and only a week left before the close of early registration, the field is shaping up to be among the best ever and the mammoth Performance Alley Industry Trade Show is guaranteed to be the largest ever for next month’s 29th Annual quakysense International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) World Finals in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Always a colorful celebration of water, sunshine, racing and a final fall get-a-way, the event this year will also be the backdrop for several scenes to be shot for the sport’s first feature film, entitled Hot Water. Cameras will be rolling as former IJSBA World and National Champion and Hall of Famer and Hollywood stunt actor Larry Rippenkroeger, the film’s co-producer, fulfills his dream with his long conceived movie about PWC racing and the IJSBA World Finals.

I was kind of hoping the jetski movie would be less like the surfing movie "Blue Crush" and more like the surfing movie "Stepping into Liquid"....one that would inspire you to want to go out that same afternoon and go ride....

If you've never seen "Stepping into Liquid" you should...
Here it is for those of you who missed it in the theatre http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3213154334095305043#

OH Yeah X2! Step into Liquid ROCKED! Blue Crush wasn't so bad but it was more of a love story with Surfing as the back Ground setting. Step in Liquid however was more of the semi Documentary style that Dana Browns Father, Bruce Brown used in both Endless Summer and Endless Summer two. That format would work well. Either way I'm sure Larry will put together a good movie that won't make us look ridiculous, Larry for one truely loves the sport and isn't some Hollywood producer out to put out another "North Shore" Either way I'm going to see it!

I just watched this movie! i can’t believe how long it took them to get it made, lots of good racing, some cornball humor, an actual storyline, fun watch. Definitely worth $4 on Amazon.

I need to get around to watching this! I can't believe I haven't and kinda forgot.

Stand ups have been a part of my life since 19friggin85 so I owe it to myself and the I owe the 4 bucks to them!

I bought the Blu-ray for a rather stupid price just to show my support and hope they produce more movies. I like a good ski flick and one with a story line is impressive to say the least. Heck even a new version of All My Crazy Friends would be awesome!
