ive turfed many skis n never have i had a part peel up.....but i spend the time when installing...

i used gorilla glue tho

my sx has held up pretty well, i used the the molded which seems to be a harder turf than the others. i did the top of the rail first 2 coats on the rail and 2 coats of contact cement on the turf. i went around and did all the top half the turf was sticking straight out and while it was drying i went around and hit it with a rubber mallet after the top was dry i started adding 2 more coats of contact cement to side of the rail and the turf that would be rolling down. when the contact cement was tacky i heated the turf till it started to droop. then pulled it down tight hit all the way around with the mallet again and trimmed the excess with a nice sharp utility blade. 2 years no rips or repairs. my sj different story some one else did those and just a couple weeks of riding already have rips and have had to go through and trim everything

I have never had one of my turf jobs peel.
Make sure if you painted the ski that you either taped off the rails or sanded them bare.
Hit they with something around a 60 grit on a D/A.
2 coats on the turf and one thick coat on the rails is usually good.
Cut the bottom edge at a 45 degree angle not a 90.
Rubber mallet is your friend.
