I'm out cleaning today.

Having a CNC Mill in the garage is awesome but the debris it throws off while cutting is a real pain and it tracks inside like you wouldn't believe.

We get tiny shards of metal in our feet almost daily.

A couple more months of this and I'm positive the wife will green light the move to a property with a dedicated shop...with 3 phase power...and AC...

Yeah, chips on the garage floor SUCK. I had a buddy using my drill press the other day, he grabbed the air blower to clean off his work piece and I was like "NO!!! STOP! STOP STOP!". I grabbed the trash can and a hand broom so he didn't get chips all over the floor. Working in a manufacturing facility is bad enough, I try to make sure my boots are clean before I go home. Finding a cutting chip in the carpet with bare feet ONCE makes you never want to experience that again. My wife would blow a gasket if it happened to her, especially since the carpet is brand new.

Sure, sounds easy enough.

I don't really have 60" of counter space I want to give up at the moment.

Both the mill and the lathe really need a full enclosure and their own floor space, I just don't have the room to make that happen.
