Surfriding How do you find motivation to organize and sanitize?

Because I have a disease that controls my brain and makes me clean/organize sh*T! If you ever want your garage cleaned, just invite me over and ill just naturally start cleaning/organizing.

A wheel chock? Seriously? The clostest my cart has ever been to chocked is a huge pile of poop around it. The sanding dust is so thick i wear snow boots.

Due to a poopty builder the cart will roll forward and hit my vehicles if there's not something stopping it.

If you're garage was properly disorganized, you'd have plenty of poop to stop it before it hit the car.

It all comes down to priorities with me. With all the dust everywhere it looks like crap almost immediately. Pretty annoying. If I ever have nothing to do or I can't find something, that's when I get yo cleaning. That cabinet will get cleaned cause I just can't find stuff fast enough without knocking stuff out of csbinet onto the nasty pigsty counter below.

I sure kno about dust. It was so bad in one of my shops had to buy a floor zambone.

I have a tip. Rubbermaid containers. Can have piles of stuff just shoved in them yet on the shelf they look organized. It's a good way to fool people.

To be honest, it's too dirty to even start. If you know what I mean. In my future I can see Rubbermaid totes and rack shelving to the ceiling. Composite stuff all in one place. Jetski crap in another place and bolts sifted through. Hose clamps weeded out and hoses in two totes max. It seems like a waste of time but I know the piece of mind is kinda worth it.

I needed to get out and clean my shop up......... To cold, lazy, not feeling it.............. Sat was our 22 year anniversary.......... Let me come up with some more excuses!

Rubbermaid bins are my secret as well. Although I still need to sort through most of mine and get rid of 90% of it.


I finally got my workbench cleared off and cleaned yesterday. It hasn't been bare since I moved in in July.

I'm out cleaning today.

Having a CNC Mill in the garage is awesome but the debris it throws off while cutting is a real pain and it tracks inside like you wouldn't believe.

We get tiny shards of metal in our feet almost daily.

A couple more months of this and I'm positive the wife will green light the move to a property with a dedicated shop...with 3 phase power...and AC...
