Other How do you insure your AM hull build

I agree with ya! My skis not worth that much holy cow ya maybe we are on different ends of the spectrum lol!!

By liability I meant if the unthinkable happends and I hit someones craft or hurt someone.

Eh a retrievers only good if you can deploy it, insurance is only good if your in it for the numbers and only want 1/4 your investment back. Learning when to swim away could save your life, tho just a thought...

If you have a tow rope around your waist, and a couple buddies, you wont lose your ski 95% of the time.

Always ride with a buddy in surf. You flat water guys have more money than sense, if you sink your boat, ho were yo show boatin fo? And why didnt they help!!

My DVX is insured for a 80% loss. To get my (secret) company to insure, full documentation, pictures and several phone conversations with the underwriter were required. The process took over a week and was a total PITA!

I like the retriever idea, but it kept deploying on its own and wasn't aesthetically pleasing, as the green didn't match my ski!

Main reason I sold my SPX and just plan on having 1 ski ( limit liability exposure ) for me. Think riding a stand up is a rush ? Just let some friends ( possibly drinking ) hop on your ski and start flying around..... They are driving and your entire life's savings is riding on the back holding on for life!!!!

State Farm (Mark Johnson Commerce Twp MI) insures my ski for $12K. I pay $170 a year. it covers all damages, sinks, catches fire, stolen, pretty much anything that happens to it State Farm will cover up to 12K. My ski is also registered in MI under a Home Built Watercraft.

I tried calling a state farm agent here in canada a while back but they couldn't do it unless it was a superjet or sxr because others aren't in their system. Might have just been that agent though may try some more.
