seriously though, when you have done the troubleshooting on a msd TL and it becomes an intermediate problem like the enhancers can do, and then you call msd and get the RAF # or whatever it is. then package it up and send it away with the copy of reciept. do you really want them to say yeah it worked fine or have them say it is toast here is a new one. don't sell me anything, see if i care. lol. i was joking about sticking the wires in the outlet but if you can't figure that out, mabe you should.

for the amount of enhancers and brains we have tossed out, i think msd should send you a new unit at cost+shipping if you send them an old failed unit outside warranty.

I agree, I have a beautiful red paperweight in my shop right now.

Yes its the epic.
The issue started in july last year with a broken programing lead which wouldn't connect to my pc, when i Got the new lead and could now program my cdi. it wouldnt run correctly.
I was told as were others that it was the stator coils so we all went and bought stators and coils, Would have been a good month on yamaha stators that couple of months.
When that didnt work we all given updated flashes to try , that didnt work either. Mean while this whole time peoples skis are off the water.
Atp stopped selling them while they fixed the issue and then a new modified cdi was bought out and sent to australia I put this in my ski it ran the same and then after 15 minutes stopped running and I got towed back to the boat ramp with no spark. I took the ski home put a stock cdi in and took it to the water to test it ran fine but due to this being a high compression engine I am not wanting to run it with a stock cdi.
I then sent my ignition back to watty. At this point all the people and there was a few should have had new ignitions sent to them. There would have been a 1-2 week wait and we would have been all on the water as it was its dragged on and on.

To the person that asked about my ignitions. I dont do them any more as I was having issues with them I couldn't get around, the same as factory fire, advent and to a certain point vilder. Every that had one of my ignitions that played up got there money back the same as I am asking for here.

re my flywheel that every one bought up ( i offered to fix or refund if he sent it back he didnt that was his choice) He then wanted to only send one half back and keep the other and demanded I sell the unit in bits.

There are two sides to every story, and a lot of details have been left out here. I'm not going to go into them, because this thread will end up the same way as they normally do, and it just makes people look silly.

Your ignition will be back with you tomorrow.

I am the one that wasted countless hours thinking I was a retard and forgot how to time a ski w/t/l all to find that you did not have the magnet in the proper location of the flywheel. IMO you SHOULD have offered to refund part of his money for the lame flywheel. As for the cover-NICE PART done very well and it is
still being used today! The flywheel however I think is still in the bottom of the TN river where it belongs. Had we relocated the magnet to the proper location we would have had to drill a hole directly next to a existing hole and then would have had balance issues on a 5000.00 stroker motor. At this moment only one word comes to mind-KARMA........

I am now off to join the banned since I spoke my mind. I feel certain with my short leash that this will again put me over the top.

The difference is Gil I sent the unit back for warranty , your friend never did

I agree the flywheel should have been returned before a partial refund was issued. ALLEDGEDLY you wanted the cover and the flywheel returned and I am sure you are well aware that covers like that are real hard to come by, flywheels on the other hand are somewhat obtainable. I must say that had it been me, I would not have let the timing cover out of my hands either. The cover you made is currently on another friends ski now and I made him do a will that in the event he dies or quits riding skis I get the cover. lol I have a purple RAD and hate the fact that it is purple and as already stated, you did one heck of a fine job making the black cover! Now chill out and relax, all I was stating earlier is that none of us are perfect!

All I want is my money back. I dont think after 6mths , spending the money on new stator coils and the greif its caused me as being to much to ask.

I can name 8 other epic ignitions possibly more that have been through this same thing they are just not posting on here. Not all of them are in australia either
Dont think the issues I am having with my epic are an isolated incident

Every one that had an issue with my ignitions when I was doing them got their money back. Watty you were one of them

Feel your pain wax I was told when I bought mine that ATP were awesome people so mad they would never release a product that was not 100% right . Well my epic worked fir about 4 weeks then I just played up all the time I recieved my ignition on the 6 of July or there abouts told Watty about the drama 4 or so weeks later now 3 days ago I recieved my ignition back same unit . What have they done ? I've know heaps of people with fixed ignitions that are so over ATP they will not even see if they work . I might try mine only because I want 34 degress to get my crap ass dasa to g.

Yeah, you're right, I was one of them, 7 different ignitions and 4 months later, you gave me my money back for the Inferno ignition that I could never get to work. It never ran properly once, and even though you sent me directly to the manufacturer after my initial problems, I still waited patiently, and when it was all said and done, it was exactly that. I didn't jump on a forum in another country and share my experience, because lets face it...doing that would have just been bad form. I cut my losses for that entire race season and ran an MSD total loss for the next one.

We could all carry on, and on, but at the end of the day, it's not going to change anything...it only makes Australians look like drama queens. I'm going to leave this alone now.

I believe it was 2 two ignitions. 4mths is 2 mths less than I have suffered here. Maybe if you had to wait 6 mths you would have got on a forum.
The point is everyone who was having issues with the wax ignition got there money back. I actually asked chris for my money back or an upgrade to a flame before I got on here, none was offered

Are you actually running an atp ignition system on your ski Leigh. Last time I heard you were selling atp ignitions and running an msd total loss on your own boat

Yeah right lee what ever never let the facts get in the way of a good story huh
Did you get your money back Leigh for a product that didnt work ??

I believe the answer is yes and in a shorter time frame than what I and others have had to endure

Clearly Superfreak got his money back for his epic

I waited for over a month and opted for a refund

If I waited 6 months to take care of a warranty part then I would expect somekind of backlash on the internet

Yes I did...after I tried numerous ignitions, because I was told that there were some problems. I thought hey, I'll wait this out because Jared told me they are sorting some things out, and I trust him.

I tell you what, I'll give you your money back based on the condition of the unit you sent me.
