How Many People Keep a Fire Extiguisher Onboard?

You don't need them in Canada but I have one for when I ride in the States in case I get checked. I don't think I'd ever be fumbling around to open a compartment below the water line (that usually requires tools to open anyway) when I could just flip the ski over in seconds.

I got a ticket for having one that the test valve didnt work on. Even after presenting a new extinguisher in court it only knocked the fine in half. From $150 to $75. You bet your a$$ I carry one.

I haven't had one on any of my skis. I did see a guy in MN make a bracket that mounted behind his headpipe on the firewall of his SJ. It was tucked in pretty well. My guess is that it wouldn't come out very easily if he needed it. He had it on board, and that's all that counts, right?
