How many ride but have no friends that ride anymore

So I'm at he point where no friends ride or even want to try ride anymore since I have two skis. Everyone is so busy with working kids life ect my regular group only goes camping once a year. If that. So I am at that cross road. Do I just sell out while my skis are worth something while prices are high in my area? Or do I keep riding by myself until skis no longer run and just scarp them? It really does suck going to the lake loading and unloading ect by yourself. Fuel for the truck isn't cheap either. I don't want to spend 100 buck to go somewhere to ride with someone. I've had my skis up forsale and had many bites on them I just haven't pulled the trigger and said sold. The skis are a 91 and 92sn. 91 is all stock. 92 has a 701 single carb. Both are paid for.

I will also mention I'm 31. I've got my done up yfz 450. A bunch of heavily modified rc cars. A full suspension xc race mountain bike. And a sizeable gun collection. So if I sold out its not like I wouldn't have something to do. I live in a condo and my skis are stored at my parents. And I'm single.

Sucks. We have a sizeable group here but it always has turnover. Yeah we will have 8-10 guys but it's almost always 5-6 different guys. With a core group of four. Everyone has their off years. Skis keep breaking, life gets in the way, broken bones, etc.

I'm lightening the fleet up myself after buying a house two months ago and getting married this August. But I'm not ready to pack it in yet. 28 here. Going to keep flipping and rolling as long as I can.

My suggestion is sell one ski and winterize the other. Who knows if people will get back into it again next year and you'll be mad you sold.

Selling those skis wouldnt be worth the money to me... the one time someone wants to go ride, you only have one, or none. If they are all stock, its not like you will be making a killing off them anyway.

I ride solo most of the time. Sometimes I would rather ride alone but it does get boring.

I'm pretty much solo too. There are people I could drive a few hours to ride with on the weekends, but find I do more quickies after work at my local spot. I stirred up some interest with friends around, but damn, you forget how expensive this stuff is until you try to talk one in to dropping 6-8k on a ski.

Same here. I usually ride with family and they ride couches. I actually really enjoy taking my ski to the lake by myself after a hard day of work and just relaxing. I wouldn't sell them.

Our group has definitely done some fluctuating but my girl rides so I always have a buddy to go out with. Keep those skis and get yourself a girl.

Although you are in Canada and I could see how a short season would lose appeal. I don't think rc cars could ever fill that void for me but but a yfz or mountain bike could try. Snowboarding was my previous fix and I think it could still come close if I was up north.

NJ has a great crew of riders. But I normally end up riding solo 90% of the time because I'm lazy and just go on the river right behind my house. Doesnt bother me, I have a blast. When I go down to FL to ride, I love riding with the crew there. But at the sametime there is nothing like a great solo surfriding session with clean 3' waves. Riding waves and not having to look over your shoulder for other skis is on its own level of awesome. My top 10 rides ever were all solo or with just one other person.

I ride solo most of the time as well, live on water in MD. In Michigan I had several friends on the same lake (Cass) and we rode most days. You could always find someone out on the water on a standup...

I did meet some NJ guys I hope to run into at Corson's inlet later this summer, plan to ride there a few times. Baltimore as well, noticed several people riding there from FB.

I hate riding solo. I've been preaty close to knocking myself out in several occasions. If I ride solo I don't ride as hard and it becomes less fun
