701sn, 701rn , 2008 superjet
octane

the only standups that i have not ridden is the hydrospace and the fx1 and any of the lightweight hulls
the yamahas are my choice, the 2008 is a sweet ski

I just rode a bone stock 08 SJ last weekend, I hated it, no bottom end, weird handling, just didnt like it. I would like to ride a freeride modded 08.

Ive ridden 440's, 550's, 650s, sxi's, sxr, SN RN sj's, stock and modded, fx1, x2, blaster

ive ridden taylor's 08 and its a real gnarly ski. i could barely hang on not being able to use his straps but even then i did a couple solid reents and slashes. that ski likes to be ridden hard and fast. think it has a lpw motor. i felt i could really rip with that ski..if i had my straps.
stock 08, for a stock ski i think its badass.
bretts stockish fx1 with tubbies. the pump is the obvious downfall of that ski, if i had one it would have a 144mm pump. the tubbies make it stable, but also make it feel more top heavy.
bretts 96 rn. the motor impeller combo doesnt work for me. otherwise setup great.
my 01 rn. hits hardest between low-mid range, no tubbie, slick rideplate. hands down my favorite ski out of all ive ridden.
bretts sxr, big heavy race ski.

KAWASAKI 300, 300SX, 440 ,550 ,550SX, 650SX, 750SX, 750 SXI, 750 SXI PRO, 800 SXR, YAMAHA 650 SN SJ, 701 SN SJ, FX-1, RN SJ, 2008 RN SJ, POLARIS OCTAIN, HYDRO SPACE. I think I’ve ridden every stand up ever made except a Kawi 400. IMO the winners are (There’s two winners)..... For flat water- SXR and for Surf -Pre 2008 RN SJ. NOTE. If I could only have one ski for both the flat and the surf it would be the Pre 2008 RN SJ.

I forgot about the laser jet too. I've never ridden one of those. The Hydro space was actually OK. It has an SXR bottom on it but it handles a little different than an SXR. The Hydro space rides a little flatter and turns quicker than an SXR. I didn't like the angled things in the tray. I only rode it for a little while so to be fair I didn't have enough time on it to give a fair assessment. I do know that it is not worth the price at twice the cost of an SXR and its a race ski only. I hate to say it but your best bet is to get a SJ.

I've ridden all the usual skis... the least common ski I have ridden was a PJS Viper

ridden dangerboy's fx-1 with a 144 pump... it was really really choppy during the ride but could tell the differences between it and a stock pump fx-1.

550, 550sx, 650sx, 750sx, 750sxi, 800sxr

SN 650, SN 701, lots of RN's with and without tubbies. Andrew's old SN with tubbies was a water logged beast but one of the best handling skis I have ridden.

PJS Viper

I have ridden a 3D but don't consider it to be a standup, just like I don't consider an X2 to be a standup. The 3D like most transvestites is butt ugly and has too many parts in the wrong places.
