I think people can do what ever they want but if someone has no clue about building a hull and cost and the work involved, is it better to let the forum hype it up to seem like a good idea? If he is rolling in money, he would buy a good hull. If he is cheap and wants to save money he should buy a used one, not dish out the same amount or more to maybe not be sucessfull in building a decent copy or even not finishing it. Most of us never get it right the first time. This forum has the power to direct people into some serious bad decisions. I have seen it happen, I call what i see. If you don't like it, leave.

You assumed wrong. It was already closed. I saw it locked and wondered wtf? I have not been on the site much in the past few weeks due to work and life. So when I read the crap that was being spewed and got pissed off reading and seeing the total disrespect some members have here towards others. Of you had taken any time to research Nuts build you would see that one. He likes his stunt. Two he has corrected alot of the problems associated with the stunts. He is happy with it and wants to build another to say " I built this, and I am proud of it". Who are you to pass judgement? Nobody in my book. But I cannot stand stand seeing people piss on other people's dreams and ideas. There is no place for that here. There is no reason for that here. Yeah. I am an Admin, Owner(part - but there is nothing really that you own about a site. More of an idea), mod of this once great site. But before all of this. I was and still am a rider and a person who believes in standing up for friends and what is plain right. Some of you may think I am nuts, and i know for a fact that I am, but If I wanted to reproduce my modified 96RN superjet hull how much money would it cost and is it alot of work? And I am talking professional quality here, I have some fancy parts i don't want sinking if the hull fails. Now i know for a fact pro builders like eric malone, rickroy, superfreak's berky, and WCF Steve don't come on the internet and share their specs and secrets of their lively hood. They also don't ask questions about how to do it either because they are pros. I do remember one guy that used some people on here back in the day to start making hulls. what was his name, what kinda products did he produce and sell again? some people got screwed but, It doesn't matter i don't plan on ever selling more of these hulls, just make one. I am a concrete construction worker that dropped out of highschool. i can work with my hands and don't mind getting dirty. I know the weak spots on the typical superjets. Somethings i am sure i can do but i choose to pay a pro do it. Is this one of those things that i should consider having pro built? Its a small "sport" and i don't want to step on any toes. How is that Area %! project doing anyways? discuss, or don't.

My hull is going to take over the " sport " of surf riding like the friggin SMALL POX , ( when it's done ) you'll see . I'm just a little off track on account of .... THE SUPERFREAK IN MY GARAGE !

My point was / is that If you look at the time, effort and expense involved , no one in their right mind would produce a hull for such a small market . The stunt is as a worthy plug as any ....width here , length there rocker here etc. A new hull is what waternut has built . Be thankful there are some professional as well as amateur NUTS out there doing NUTTY things like making jet ski hulls for NUTS like us .

Don't be a peckerwood .... Applaud the innovation ....

Lastly , my mama told me if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all cuz the moderators will give you a internet beaten. IMO these ARE stupid jet skis and they should always be fun and never stressful .......... Unless you have an intermittent electrical problem ....

lol, i knew you would like that and yeah i figured your progess was slow from the new project, still my point is that your build has been a huge undertaking and it is not even a plug or mold. just modded. Waternut, I am sorry. sorry indeed for not supporting the idea for you to spend 3000.00+ on making a plug, mold, then carbon version of your hull. It is very clear that you should do it.

there was a dude selling some SJ molds on hear not long ago. Prolly still for sale if ya can find him. That wouls save some time even if they did need work. The propper resin and glass for building molds is quite expensive and it would be very time consuming. Also there is trial and error involved as well. Your first attempt may be less than acceptable and require reinforcement and repair to be usable. IMO its worth it ONLY if you have a few peeps on board willing to share the expense and labor for a final product. It is in fact nasty and tedious work, can get demeaning and depressing QUICK LOL.
