I'm thanking you both fir your useful post and your signature bad fish. Eat sleep ride , roll, ride, fornicate. Lmao!
OP, glad you're looking into getting a standup. This thread is great and you're getting great advice, I would definitely listen. We've ALL been where you are, myself included.
What i'll tell you, and you won't believe me is... there is a 85% chance that in two years you'll look back on this purchase and laugh because you'll probably 4 to 5 times this initial investment sunk into a ski plus accy's.
But I digress...
There is a HUGE value in getting a solid ski up front. Because if you buy a ski that needs anything, you have to consider the repair cost. EG: Battery will be $50-$90, most used skis need batteries.
Bottom line, you get what you pay for. If you can spring for the nicer ski, it will pay dividends down the road.
Thanks, what's the best way to load a square nose into a s10? I doubt my tailgate will close so I'm going to have to strap it. Just thought I would ask in case there are tricks to the trade, if not ill figure it out.
Thanks for all the advice. I worked out a deal for the 92. I think it will be a good ski to learn on. I talked the guy down to 1500 and I'm picking it up this weekend. I think I can get a couple of years of fun out of the sn before I want more. I never owned a stand up and I'm really looking forward to it.
I just drove the 92 for the first time today, I got it home at 1 am and than had to work :-( but I have to pay for it somehow. It is a blast to drive but I think I need a different ride plate. I believe it is the original one and I can't go faster than cruising speed even with all my weight as far as possible up front. It just wants to porpoise. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I want the standup for jumping and more freestyle use so I don't know if that is the ride plate I should use or something else.
also, does anyone have a recommendation for a cover for the 92 superjet?
Ok sounds good. How about a cover for the sn. I see a plain blue one on eBay but that is about it, any suggestions in that department?
