How much is needed and where needs it the most? Building a flatwater boat that will see lots of under-rotated BR's LOL.

How much material should I order? I'm reinforcing and doing holds, maybe handholds too.

any old threads to dig up?

My vote would be to only reinforce the stress areas. I think the pole area was a little weak on the 750 however I'm not sure. The 750 is about the only ski I never owned.
Other than that, you shouldn't need any reinforcing for flat water. Keep her as light as possible.

I just built my flatwater 750. You want to reinforce the pole mounting area heavily. Also down the lip slightly where water drains from the pole mounting just below the hood seal. If that makes since. The flat portion of the bottom of the ski in the front. Just about where it starts to roll up. I have had 2 750's both get pretty warn there. I have also seen a couple stress cracks by the e box mounting again towards the top croners by th etray where the hood seal is. Mine just weighed in last night at 100 lbs. still need to sand it down a bit and get rid of some excess glass.

Thank you for your input.

I've heard on the sides of the nose above the rails also is weak, have you seen stress crack there on any?

I havet seen stress cracks by the rails. Just the pole mounting spot and back by the tray like i said above. The 750 are pretty tuff otherwise. I will try a post pics for better clearity tonight

In addition I would reinforce the hood and along where the hood seals I have had a couple hulls crack on me there as well.

Picture of the pole area and dash. I am not using the stock pole bracket so i used 2 layers of thick fiberglass and 2 layers of 17 oz carbon. I also have an aluminum back plate to sandwhich from the bottom of the pole area. I would also agree to add a layer of reinforcement around on the inside of the hood seal area. It seems that is the area the gets abused the most as you can see in the dash pic.

i'm surprised to see the dash cracked like that, thanks for the pics.

how much that carbon run you?

The hull is a 93 so it has been used alot. Fiberglass does get weak. I got the carbon from uscomposites.com. It was left over from last years reinforcement on my 92 hull. Economically I would just use glass. The nice thing with carbon is that you can just sand your hull as is for the pole area and epoxy it on. My 92 hull was yellow and black so I didn't paint over it. Cosmetics was what I was going for. If you are going to paint then I would save money and use an extra layer of glass. The weight/strenght savings with the carbon is neglegable to the price increase. IMO.

I am about to strip my 750 back for a re-spray and am wanting to strengthen it up a bit for freeride nxt season while im at it. The above info is good, does anyone else know what other areas will need reinforcement from experience?

isnt that just finish cloth you are using on the dash in the picture is that strong enough? i have the same crack just alot smaller im using mat and 1708 biaxel cloth in the nose pole mounting area and dash for reinforcing
