from the outside was pretty easy. just made my cuts, grinded around the sides about an inch or two, cut a little of the foam out(about 1/4 inch), then wraped it with glass and epoxy resin. took about half a day. just had to take the tube and get it re-welded to match the angle.

nope. got a sn im getting ready to do -5(-2 top and bottom and -3 slant cut) on and only losing the first set of bolts. brings it right to the second set.

I didnt see it mentioned but if you have a scupper like I do, doing a slant cut will be harder. The straight will be lots easier I think. Wouldn't have to mod the scupper or exhaust. And you could reuse the stock caps.

Did the 2.5 angle cut on the SX I didn't see any downsides, still runs wide open just fine, made it easier to reboard ,changed riding position to a more forward stance which was a plus, maybe a little more difficult to recover on landings.

i c lots of guys shortening the hull, but not top deck, would there b any added benefits to not doing this. It seems to me if u leave the top deck alone, u have that extra area to catch water, but the rickters have that big wide area in the rear on top.

I forgot!
i shortened my topdeck to move my body forward, I needed to move my weight more forward to compensate for the bottom deck being so short. my bottom deck is cut to the reduction nozzle seam on the pump and the top deck is -4. The only thing that i don't like is the pump not being covered for my body to hit.

I was hoping one of you guys would post some pics or specs on what exactly you did on the ride plate situation. I saw someone say they used a SN ride plate but do you still have to move the mounting holes and stuff?
