Friday I cut the carbon floor to shape.
Test fit the footholds and found there was about a 3/4inch gap from floor to footholds.
I decided to just cut them at the floor and fill the gap later with material.
I also sanded some more to prep for bonding everything.

Looks like the exhaust going to exit from the side. From top or bottom hull?

Nope, normal location. Bottom right rear.

Plan is to start in January. I have 3 cars ahead of that right now. I'm fully into the first one, at this rate It'll be doable. but if all else fails, I have space to do 1 car and the jetskis in the shop. so, I could technically start when 2 cars are done, but I'd rather have the shop fiberglass free while I work on engines...

Also, thats a sweet ski in your avatar, any pics up on the X?

A bit lower, the carbon tray is resting on the bottom deck pump tunnel. so about as high as that, maybe an inch lower?

My give a shlt has kinda come back.
I pulled the hull down from overhead storage and started "working" on it.
Some hilarious updates.
Used a custom mold of duct tape to fill the shortened hood. Results are ratty at best zero but it's as good as I expected. See pics.

Also laid down 6 layers to shape a cover for under the tray. The wax side of aluminum foil worked great as a surface. Peeled off ok.

Barely. I just want to buy a new hull, but then I think about the stuff I could buy with the money of a new hull, and it's a lot.
The thing I need is time. I have to have this done in a month, so that's why I'm really diving in now.

That's about the timeline I have also, if I want to get sufficient testing before my trip back home with the ski. We'll see! Good luck and keep the updates coming.

Layed up 15 layers for part of the pole mounting area. A bit rough on the top, which will be the bottom.
I ran low on hardener and had to scrape the last bit out to get my mixture right. Turned out ok.

The foil peeled decently, the last bits sucked though.

Pole mount ideas to help me determine next steps. I know what I need to do next, will be cutting to size and mocking up this week. Just waiting on the pole mount to arrive!
