indoor jetski waterpark.

Don 79 TA

Still Fat....
talk about a great idea...
you'd need a MASSIVE size building
top of the line ventilation
massive amounts of water
however to make $$ it would have to be an adventure type of park, like having a swimming place, etc
pollution would be a major thing to consider.

can it be done, heck yeah....
would it work now? in this economy..... VERY questionable, and where would it be?
probably makes most sense in a colder climate area so it can be used year round

NASCAR was going to make an indoor track, but way to expensive. they wanted to avoid weather delays. noise was also a concern, but they had cancelation devices for that. it was pollution as the major concern, and size of building to keep ventilated, lighted, cooled, etc aka VERY expensive tickets

don't worry... you aren't the only one that thought of something like this.... it would be cool as heck. ranks up there with an indoor mountin bike/mountain climbing/adventure park

you might wanna brush up a little on your window licking as well. judging by that picture you posted it looks like you missed a spot, or two....lol

I like that team bill knock-off handlepole you constructed, you did a really good job with that. keep up the good work.

Travis, I don't mind one bit if you poke fun at me. It's all in good fun. Almost everyone here thinks you're an idiot so nobody cares. When you start attacking my business and my products I take offence.

if you paid half attention you would not bother with that comment. Far as I have seen SNOW actually produces and ships the parts he makes.

Also you might want to rethink your comments.

ridiculous concept, for us at least, if i was planning something like this theres no way in hell it would be indoors. that building alone would be a multi million dollar proposal. now if it was just a heated pool that could be doable. wave pool technology to create a decent wave is also a ridiculous concept. the power bills alone would be astronomical.
NOW, to create something cheaply as possible i would look at diverting a river and using the natural flow of water to fill the tanks. you would have a constant supply of fresh water and power bills would be reduced drastically. possibly indoors but i dont see much of a reason for that as that would surely be the demise of such a project as bills would add up very quickly.

this may be the dumbest thread ever..lets build a multi million dollar indoor wave pool complex and charge people 10 bucks an hour to ride....here comes the cash cha-ching!

large frame structure, no walls, solar heated pool, solar power, snack stand, surf/ ski shop,
flowrider wave in the corner for something different. could be nearly off grid for power w/ wind and solar out there. the entire roof on 1 side would be water heater and the other power or half and half to get the full days worth of sun for both.

i've been tossing around the possibility of an X park for powersports as well. including wake sports and fmx, with 50 acres of trails and such, large 5-6 acre pond 6" deep. tow lines and skis only.

not attacking your business bro, it's your attitude. not sure how we ended up on the wrong foot with each other, but you've got some serious "tude" issues, and they don't have anything to do with your ability to make parts, outside of your attitude about them and/or just plain your attitude in general. you've been a complete pr!ck to me since the fist time I ever saw you post a message on these boards, not sure what you base that on either, unless you just like being a pr!ck to people for no reason, and me not being the only one that thinks so. I don't know.

I don't think this is a stupid tread....Brainstorming is how men accomplish great things in the end......

I think Stan's Idea is the right approach and least expensive. Run a river through the park and use the water for jet skis or Kayaks or whatever is that you offer to the public. The concrete bottom of the channels can be constructed with bumps of different sizes, that way when the rapid hits them it will create a wave just like rocks do at the bottom of a river.

That would be fun...

DUH!
Of course, this has been done before.

NOW.....Imagine running that course but BACKWARDS on a stand up. That can definitely be included in the X-games.....

What should we call it though? mmmmmmmmmm.....
