Intake Grate fell off

Location

Hey all, as the title says my intake grate fell off at some point out on the water. I also don't see any hardware in there fora new one to connect up to.

1st question; my ski is rigged with the 140 kawi pump. Does this affect anything when lookin for another grate?

2nd; I don't see any screws for the grate to attach to the haul with. I'm assuming these came off as well; any ideas where i can purchase these?

Thanks

what about picking up trash from riding around. I usually ride out in the bay here in Florida. water depth is around 2ft; wouldn't all the seaweed cause some damage.

shut up, lol

I'm for serious! I only know because I learned the hard way. I ride in alot of ponds, creeks and rivers. I'm always reaching under to pull the grass out of the intake grate... well one day I broke all the rungs out of a plastic grate after hitting a cypress knee and after that I didn't have to clean the grate a single time. Just chews it up and spits it out lol.

Try threading a bolt up in and see if grabs a nut cert?

I imagine they are still there or you would have ripped fiberglass out....like I did :(

It probably just got loose and fell off...I check mine often.

... Hey man, I'm going to go pick it up today from my mechanic. He was replacing the motor mounts for me. Unfortunately he also let me know the prop and pump are both toasted.... Apparently the guy i purchased the ski from jimmy rigged the ski together which is unfortunate. Not sure I'll be tackling this one; i looked up pump prices and doesn't really make sense to spend a grand on the pump.

Gotta start turning your own wrenches! I'm sure you could do the pump for less than half yourself. I picked up a clean 140mm kawi pump for a 550sx conversion for 275 with a clean impeller.

Plenty of good OEM parts on this site for half of what new costs. Use silicone next time as insurance. Just a little where intake bolts to ski.

Under haul and current mid shaft.

It looks like I'm missing the pump shoe?
