Don't be sad swapmeet, I'm sure you will find a BF (boy friend) soon.My problem is I have "the" equipment, but I seem to be unable to master it. I seem to lack the talent and balls for a BF

Nicely put M8 , I do both , and definetely big surf needs less money which mostly goes to tougher parts ....Limited class racing is about $15k, or $10k starting with a used sxr, or if a older rn is okay then about $7k.
Surf riding is about $5k starting with a used rn and mods or $3k starting with a square.
You don't need carbon hulls or huge motors for either of these.
You've just branched off into an expensive area of the sport. It's like you took a dirt bike and added $30k in hydraulics because you don't have access to a ramp.
ha ha ...lol ...so trueAnd l bitched about spending $125 for a Coffman half pipe some 25 years ago. Look at it now.......
very true Mike ...thought the race to getting better skis is endless ...hence the good deals from people selling to buy into better staff ...including me "Q8 carbon DASA 1000cc pv"....so that my upgrate will just cost me "a couple of toes and a finger"It doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg unless you want it to, no matter where you ride. I see pretty good deals on here ,so at least you'reat the right place for savings.
lol ....nice one ...and for the cost of a new top of the range ski you can buy a village in some countries and stay forever , and you can have as many wives as you wantFor the cost of a RRP pipe, I took the wife to Cabos for 9 days, all inclusive. It's hard to justify, spending that kind of money just on me....
lol .....right on dude !!!!I have 2 "stock skis", I enjoy riding just as much as the next guy. When its comes to putting big $$$ in your ski, i'll be more than happy to watch from the beach as you do a back flip![]()
nicely put ......been riding in competitions since the turn around of the sport about 10 years ago with names such as Lenzi and young Stone, been one of the very few to flatwater backflip back then, and when money never seemed to be enough to get more air , I kept my existing skis , and bought myself a couple of MX bikes and got involved in a sport where talent is 80 percent and equipment is 20Once you master your equipment, regardless the sport, it becomes boring. You get to a point where its difficult to progress any farther until you add alittle more excitement to keep you interested. Some people progress faster than others, Some people are content with how far they have progressed or have ran out of money, Some people live by killer surf, and some people are loaded with money and can buy a 40k ski to learn on. Which one are you?
True all you need is reliable equipment with suspension set up and some good traction however it cost a lot more in the long run to race competitively (coming from 12+ years of AMA racing).and bought myself a couple of MX bikes and got involved in a sport where talent is 80 percent and equipment is 20
Your days can be just as genuine and fun filled riding a stocker. There is nothing wrong with that. If you are bothered by the fact that is costs a lot of money to have a ski that will perform aerial tricks, then don't spend your hard earned money on one. If you think all it takes to backflip a ski is "more bucks $$$", you're wrong. I tried to buy a backflip once upon a time. Let me tell ya. You still need talent and balls.
I am not saying you dont need to have Goooo in you, that should be obvious..... I have been backflipping my wamilton ski since 2002 in the surf , my Lenzi on flat water since 2007 , and my YZ 250 6 months ago...so dont take me wrong when I say I know which of the 2 feats need Balls , and which one needs Thrust $$$$Your days can be just as genuine and fun filled riding a stocker. Fun !!!...very true Jace thats the spirit ....of course flatwater has become a high tech and innovative equipment game so if it is beyond play and you want to be on top you have to stash the $$$ ...it is not let us say like MX were Chad Reed races top level with a $20,000 bike against Villopotos $80,000 factory ride and still sticks to his back....and of course I dont believe your 1200RR cost you 50,000 US because you know someone who knows someone who knows Patrick who send you a kit for a good deal ...so can you be that friend of mine and set me up for one maybe so I could upgrate from my Q8 sky Dasa 1000 pv.....Gotta pay to play. It's the same as any other motor sport.
I can have just as much fun on a limited SJ as I can on my DVX1200

We make it as expensive as we want. The sky is the limit, but the entry level is very affordable. A decent SN might run $1500. If that's fun for you, enjoy it.
Get that Q8 Dasa sold first, then you won't be too far off from getting a dvx1200.
Mine will be for sale after the national tour is over
Couldn't imagine what's next!
=)
