How to interpret:

If you see this above:It probably means this:

= Normal/Not Infected by Conficker (or using proxy)

= Possibly Infected by Conficker (C variant or greater)

= Possibly Infected by Conficker A/B variant

= Image loading turned off in browser? Any other combination= Poor Internet connection?


Explanation:

Conficker (aka Downadup, Kido) is known to block access to over 100 anti-virus and security websites. If you are blocked from loading the remote images in the first row of the top table above (AV/security sites) but not blocked from loading the remote images in the second row (websites of alternative operating systems) then your Windows PC may be infected by Conficker (or some other malicious software).
If you can see all six images in both rows of the top table, you are either not infected by Conficker, or you may be using a proxy server, in which case you will not be able to use this test to make an accurate determination, since Conficker will be unable to block you from viewing the AV/security sites.

turns out conficker is ddosing now.... try again to go to the conficker eye chart sites. i'm able to see the trend micro and fsecure icons but i cant even go to the eye chart sites. a bunch of people are saying they cant get the icons to even load.

Looks like Conficker did an update on Tuesday to itself.

I'm not worried about my network (100+ machines) or home computers, at the moment...

I believe the ones Jett posted are real time links so they are not working either. I know my machine is good and I tried 2 different browsers for the external link as well as Jetts up ^^^ there.

Check that....3 of the are up ^^^ there but weren't there more than 3? I can't remember.


If you notice...this particular thread is not loading completely.....I think because it can't load the real time links.

The other 3 were the Linux, BSD, etc icons. I bet those organizations turned off hotlinking or removed those to prevent bandwidth waste.

'company laptop', probably doesn't have permission/rights to do it.

An an IT manager for a company, I get VERY irritated when someone starts trying to fix things on their own, I'd rather fix it from the beginning than try to go back and undo whatever someone did on their own, then fix the problem properly. (this is just a statement, not directed at subsea) We have a plant manager that is like that, who thinks they know how to do things but in the end just makes more work for me than if they had just asked in the first place.
