Get the Reg. Numbers, Call DMV, explain situation. Get contact info or info on how to take possession and then sale.

Side note, Keep Better work orders. Write contact info down and put it in the ski. ;)

I've got a couch sitting in my garage from a douchebag customer that all of a sudden decided he couldn't afford the job. After it was done.

THX.... i can thank yamasaki for that one......

ya i noticed of course...historically some of the bests posts come from that rascal...worth quoting. Think I will send a note to both he and Stricky... maybe we can all bask in some online holiday cheer from them soon.

Hopefully you find the owner of the ski and can work something out over the holidays that suits both of you. The individual is probably having a hard time with the economy and such, just as so many others are these days...hopefully that is all that is wrong.

same thing happened to me. after 2 years i sold it for parts. i got the money i was owed and got it off my lawn. i told the guy what i did and he seemed relieved. maybe he didnt have the money or whatever...

now i got a boat in my driveway, since summer all done (drive bellows, fuel tank sender, tune up, water pump, speedo tube ect) and is now even winterized. and he keeps saying he will get it. im ready to bring it down to the river and send it on its mary way!

some people are terrible to do side work for.

ya i don't think that is the case he is a cop in Chicago.... i think he just don't feel like paying foer a ski that is still broke......and thinks he can leave it sit at my house for as long as he wants

fix it ride the hell out of it or scrap it. hide it somewhere else. if he ever comes back, say you thought he came and took it. get a attitude and say he never paid you. threaten to call the cops. he will be confused. if he gets pissed call the cops and say it most of been stolen. pass the bill on the home owners insurance or whatever.

If he’s still alive and well, my guess is he would just have a detective buddy look on this site and spoil that caper…not wise at all. Approach him in a civil manner to get what you want…all might work well. If for some reason that fails, approach him on paper politely and professionally with the same, noting the original date he left it and the terms of verbal agreement, as well as where/when all communication ended. If that does not work, then you have written documentation to proceed. That is wise.
