The 61x cases would need to be bored to accept bb sleeves.and if your going to spend the money on a big bore you would be better off with 62t cases.but that ported too end will bolt right up

should fit, sounds like your miss understandin with this kit...its a port and bore cylinder not a resleeved cylinder...unless im reading wrong..but it should fit your 61x bottom end..

Correct, oem sleeves that will fit any stock 701 cases.

We can do BB top end kits with JetManiac custom sleeves, but unless cases are fly cut to accept sleeves and have matching BB porting and epoxy work, then it won't perform properly. We think BB motors are best built complete.

615 Freeriders are addicted to T1 madness.
If your porting the cylinder then would you not need to port the top side of cases as well to match up? I would recomend sending your cases to be ported as well or use the gasket sent by Chris to port them yourself. Epoxy shouldnt be needed if just portmatching top side.
Just thinking outloaud, the porting of the cylinder alone will add power, but matching the cases will gain you all the power to be had from the porting.

Yea. I have 2 sets of ported cases.and both were K machines at one time to accept bb sleeves. And I was planning on using the base gasket to match the cases to the cylinder. But other then that jetmaniac is absolutely right

I'm looking to do this upgrade on a 61x/61x. I am assuming an ADA (or other aftermarket) head is needed. I have one with 35cc domes currently. What size domes would be needed for an 82mm bore and ported? Would I have to change? Some other kits include domes, but no one tells you the size.

I don't know much about carbs and jetting in general, but I am planning on running a wetjet manifold with a 46 mm carb? Would I even have to change the jets? If so what to?

Thanks for any help, I know its a bunch of questions.

enlighten me

Can you please enlighten me... I have been building race snowmobile motors for some time, but am new to jetskis.
What is done different in the "porting" , "blue" porting and freestyle Porting. What makes them different?
Thank You
Ron
