This is all just so unbelievable.... How weird must it be not to know who you are and why so many people are sending their best wishes?

Lisa, let Joe know that even the random British guy from Daytona last year wishes him all the best  Can't wait to see him shredding it up out there again soon.

Oh, I forgot to mention: if your memory doesn't come back, can I have dibs on your ski? :sneaky: I keed, I keed!

Not a drop of medical insurance...so we really need to pitch in.

On another note, I just got a note from a donor who wishes to remain annonomous....he's sent $500 from his account to the Pay Pal....the guy met Joe once and lives in a forgein country...challenges all other freeriders to match or beat his donation - ...and JoJo would say "NICE!"

LP

I'll match that amount in Paypal installments over the next 3 to 4 months.

Joe's mom and I were the last to see him last night before everything went down and the situation was very alarming. I cannot tell you how hard it was to drive away and leave him there. My heart is breaking.

The family has asked that we sit tight on posting updates until were able to give you more complete info. The whole thing is very upsetting - They'll communicate to me what they would like released and I'll let you all know ASAP.

In the mean time, Joe seriously needs our thoughts and prayers.

Lisa

For the auction...for those who cannot access eBay:

This auction exists an effort to raise some coin for Joe Kenney's medical bills, and show a bit of support. We have never had the pleasure to meet Joe in person, but understand the degree to which he is widely loved throughout the PWC community, and otherwise. Not being close to this situation, and those involved, I only hope it is safe to say for more info on his condition, you can visit http://www.x-h2o.com/forum.php or http://www.pwctoday.com/forums.php

What we actually have up for auction is a trophy / card. It measures roughly 6" X 10". The winning bidder will have their message machined into the face plate to be mounted on the stand. ex.= "Get well Joe, from blah blah." We can put basically anything on there as long as it will fit. Industry logos etc... At auctions end, we will finish the trophy in a timely manner, and either ship it to the winner, or provide pictures and make sure it goes to JK.

100% of the autions profit will go to his medical funds. As soon as the winner PayPals me, I'll fire the money to Joe.

PLEASE send a link to this auction to as many people as you deem appropriate.

Pictured is Joe holding one of the trophies we made for his Pismo event several months ago. It is of a similar design. He commented several times how much he liked the trophies, though had the heart to give his to a spectator at the event.

Also pictured is an example of a finished trophy for an unrelated event, as an example of what the finished product will look like.

Thanks for your help and prayers.

I just had to up my bid to $200.00....it jumped frommy $150.00 bid to $175.00 in about two minutes....C'mon gang - group your funds and hook a brother up!

lisa's right guys, pool your money if you have to and bid. it's going to a great cause, it isn't like it is some ebay scam or something like that. we need to pull together in this time of need.

all these donations show just how close of a tight knit extended family we really are. some of us had the pleasure of meeting joe, others have not, but either way people are making contributions, big or small, for one of our fallen brothers.

like i said in another post, it's not the size of the donation that counts, its the thought behind it that does.

this reminds of a story i was told once
"two people walk into a community center and give a donation to the local charity, one is a old lady who lives by meager standars, the other is an affluent business man. both give 5 dollars to the cause. who gave more? the old lady. why? becuase she sacrificed other things so someone could be better off, for the business man on the other hand it was a drop in the bucket"

sorry if that seemed off topic but it seemed appropriate given the situation
