Johnson's 920 x-2 polaris powered

Are those Keihins on there? They can't feed that big bore top end very effectively. I have a big bore Octane I was running Keihin 40s. Switched to 46 mikunis and the difference was huge. I had to add prop pitch to keep the thing from hitting the rev limit after switching to Mikuni's. They should surely be on your list in this build.

....dual mikuni pumper's....

Ahh, thanks, I missed that detail. So is this setup using the original snowmobile bottom end? Is that simply a drop in sled motor? I am working on putting a 910 top end on my Octane bottom. Maybe I should just simply use the complete 910 sled engine??

is it going to be a race ski the psi motors are super top end happy i had an old decker polaris motor it made peek power at 9500 rpm and most drag sleds run there clutching to kick in an 5k + , cool setup

How come the sled engine into a ski is not common? You can pick up complete 600cc engines with 150+ crank hp for $1,000 or less.

The sled engines are tuned for more rpm than our pumps can handle. Lower operating rpm is why pwcs cant post as large HP numbers. We try to make up the difference with larger displacement engines.

Not true that motor only turn's 8 grand max.
Production PWC Engines like the yamaha and kawi motor's are old technology.
There is not enough money in the sport to do high dollar R&D to build big ponies in the standup world. lamey and quite a few other aftermarket guy's are building big horsepower motor's.
