Hey guys, I've been looking for a ski to wrench and ride on for the last couple months out here to keep me sane through school. I'm really looking for a superjet (like everyone else), but I figured I could have some fun on this in the meantime...I've been riding 550's for awhile, but this is my first jump into a 750. Picked her up for 900 bucks so I'm happy!
Guy disassembled some things with the intention of getting her prepped for paint and lost interest. So, I got it as is. Engine was rebuilt last year (96' big pin) with new top end. She's got a factory limited pipe, advanced timing, flame arrestors, skat trak impeller (10/18 I think? - anyone know anything about this pitch?), Bilge, running premix, finger throttle, ODI grips, New turf...and I'm sure I'm missing some other stuff. She could definitely use a good scrubbing and some body/paint work. My plan is to get her running again in time for summer and tear her all apart this fall and install footholds and paint.
I've also got a factory pipe waterbox and coffman intake grate on the way. Anyone know anything about the ride plate featured in the pics below? It has the word "REND" stamped on it, but I was unable to find anything out about it.
I posted this over at pwctoday as well cuz I don't know how much cross traffic goes on. I figured this seems a little more exclusive to the sxi.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions or advice with this ski, feel free to post up! Tips/tricks/advice with this engine are also welcome! I'm no stranger to wrenching on skis, but this is my first dive into a 750, so I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.
