Kawi power?

Good luck getting anyone to pay for an Advent...even harder to get anyone to pay for a BNIB one.

A Big/Reputable shop is working on a new ignition system right now. Can't wait to hear more about it.

Fixed it for ya. Yeah the new one that's supposedly in the works should be GTG and reliable for the long run, keep our fingers crossed.

I went thru 3 Advent's back in 05. all bad brand new out of the box. The last 1 I had was still working when I sold the ski in 09. I would never buy another advent

I was 35th in line for one from Kommander and they still weren't getting them. So I called Greg at Advent. He sent me two brand new ones...neither worked.

Kommander says they have a 50% failure rate

^^Is that better or worse than a MSD TL? ;)

My advent T3 ran for 3 solid years in my SXR, until it got wet, then it ran intermittently. I've always been a kawasaki guy, but it's an uphill battle if you want to build a flatwater boat.

Ugh, I don't think you adequately described what happened with "got wet" lol. Dixie, Scorn that's terrible reliability and unfortunately seems to be pretty common with all the Advents. Hoping the new programmable ignition coming out is far superior like I've been told and stated in previous post. Not much in the way of feedback on the Igni-Pro/Blowsion. Either way, the Kawi aint dead for flat or freeride, there are definitely less options than with the Yami platform which is why eventually most people jump the fence.

what head yall running? debating right now between the r&d because i found one used cheap or if i should go with the TBM girdled head. (i o plan on running race gas on said engine and hoping for around 210psi cyl pressure.)
