WOW, major handwringing over that bilge placement. Classic!
Here's the thing...I've been setting up my competition boats like that for close to 20 years now.
Never had an issue, not once.
Personally, I prefer that routing.
But, like Idok pointed out..I can understand where, to some, it could raise an eyebrow and be a cause for concern.
Here's the thing, though… the build that you see here, is for a former pro freestylist. He may be old and decrepit ...but homeboy's still got some chops.
We've gone over every aspect of this build, splitting hairs, debating, and (over) analyzing the sh*t out of every nut and bolt.
We've even closely avoided a brawl, over the graphics.
The bottom line is this… the guy knows what works and what doesn't work (for Him). It ain't his first rodeo.
So, there is a caveat to running that outlet into the tray...I'd caution someone who may be looking at this build, and thinking about emulating that setup. Think things through, really carefully, on your build. For example, If you are incapable of properly using a gas can and have an internal fill tank, or your bilge hygene is akin to a homeless guy’s buttcrack...then don't run it this way.
