WOW! I just read thru this for the first time! Great build thread man.

I thank everyone that takes the time to do these build threads. They are priceless.:hail:

hopefully monday i will start painting the top deck, i'm calling it quits on the hull. it's got enough paint on it for me...considering that it's pretty tough for me to even hold a spray can right now after the wreck, so i'm just gonna let that cure over the weekend and then do the top

now for the scupper, of couse i'm broke, and a tightwad, so i used the homedepot scupper, it seems like it's a very good valve



just make sure the correct side is facing up and that the valve is flowing in the right direction

jonathan doesn't know it, but he just screwed himself admitting he is tightwad...it took him long enough!!!

now onto the turf, the right tools for the job....mark did most all of the turf as i am a turf retard. i can't draw or cut a straight line to save my life, so what mark didn't do my lovely wife did....she's a real trooper,

Along wth being a real trooper,we found out I am a real bleeder too. I got a litte excited with the knife and tried to slice my thumb off. It bled A LOT!!!

ok, well i got some free time at the shop today, so i decided to play with ideas for turf on my handholds on the hood. i wanted a flame kinda thing but i royaly suck at drawing, but this is what i came up with

i used a visa-vis dry erase board marker to outline the turf on the hood where i wanted it
taped it off, took forever to tape because once again i suck at this,

this is where i presently am, i'm waiting on small paint brushes

oh, i also turfed the inside wall of my handhold.

i had to go home yesterday b4 the contact cement dried, so i finished one side this morning, here is the finished product

i had to run a razor blade around my tape line to keep the contact cement from pulling with the tape, wasn't pulling much, just at the edges a little bit
