I agree wholeheartedly. As I have said, incredibly rare opportunity for a hull that has been mostly problems and a little proud blooping.

I don't hate Krash. I just want them to get their poop together. I love how it rides, I want it to be good. I don't want to give up the last year of work if this hood is all that is left to fix. I just wanted a damn new hood and it turned into this....

Now it seems the pitchforks have turned to me, but it is what it is. Think of me what you will, I can't take this opportunity right now. Maybe when I get my own poop together, but I doubt the offer will be open. And I don't expect it to be.

I was once a business owner for 5 years running a sign/screen printing shop until I lost the home I was running it out of. I produced a superior product and if something had a problem, which it rarely did, I replaced it. But I also charged more, Krash one of the kess expensive options out there. It is for a reason.

Cheap, reliable, fast. Pick two, you can't have all three.

There are no warranties with AM stand ups, I never expected Krash to refund it. It was a pain in the ass to build and made me angry, but I've always said I liked how it rode the few times I blooped.

F me if it bites me in the ass later. You can all just say I told you so. I just want to ride a damn ski and have fun.

If they are offering you a full refund, and the issues of this ski have been because of the hull being one of the first produced, and you like the ski. Just arrange to get a new hull in exchange. Then you still have the ski and no extra money out of your pocket, I'm sure they have some in the US already that they could sell you. I wouldn't just do the hood if there is more than that wrong with the ski, plus not sure what the new hood would do with the old hull. Not sure if they did mold changes or anything, but I would get a brand new hull. That opportunity doesn't ever come up, by the time you fix the hood you could drop in all of your driveline into a new hull in less.....

Hey Mike, our offer is to just have the stage 1 kit returned for a full refund if she felt she wanted to go that route. I have tried to get Nick (our business owner, designer of all hulls and components) on the phone with Ashley, whether it be FaceTime or call to walk her through some procedural build process techniques and help her as much as we possibly can, but Ashley has chosen to keep things in writing and Nick simply does not feel that he can walk Ashley through things that way so we felt best to simply refund Ashley the entire amount she paid for the hull at the time it was new so she is not out any money as we like our customers happy. However, we will not offer a hull/hood exchange because we do not feel that will solve the problem of a someone who is building and doing their best at learning as they go (all praise to Ashley as building a ski yourself without help is a very tall task that many know the experience needed to complete). Thank you.

I'd like a better Krash hull, my worries would be having the same issues though. It fits my riding style well.

I made this thread in hopes of sharing the fun build, but right now it is just a poop show that isn't going anywhere other than down with typical Internet flair.

My drunken rant after a miserable day at work turned into something of a monster. My fault, I'm not interesting in continuing the soap opera, once the poop gets figured out I'll be back.

Maybe with the Krash, maybe with a different hull, maybe with nothing at all.

Until then peace out those few who are still here, thanks for the advice! *thumb boner*

Only reason I said about getting a new hull is because if she is offered a full refund on the stage 1 kit, she could just purchase a new stage 1. Then she keeps the hull she likes but it is new. I don't care what happens, just seems like a no brainer to me. At least for her to go get a new one that you have on hand. Either just a replacement hull or her getting the refund and buying one that is in the states already, still the same end result as far as her upgrading to a new one that should go together easier. Probably save her time and her getting on the water with what she wants and less time than trying to figure out the hood alignment issues.

Yes I see where you are coming from Mike. We just have chosen to go with a full refund and allow Ashley to explore another avenue if she saw fit or do our absolute best to have Nick get on the phone with her to offer his experience in building. Many aspects of a build are common place for some, but can be difficult for others if they have never previously learned, as well all know. This is why we felt complete skis with every one of these things assembled properly, inspected, tested, and completed was the best advancement for our brand and the industry as a whole.

I understand you having second thoughts the 50cal is a great riding hull. What I don't understand is working on the ski after they offered you a full refund. Make up your mind 1st

2 of life's hardest lessons.

1. The right decision is rarely the easiest.

2. The wrong decisions is always easy and is always followed by more wrong decisions

Boom! #Wisdom. But seriously, im currently dealing with a possibly huge life changing decision that was sprung on me yesterday. And after a few beers and talking with my Fiance', I came up with some new life wisdom for myself to live by.

She asked me "If this was a sign that we should walk away from the deal."

I said "No, this isnt a sign to walk away. This is a test of what we are made of. Its not a sign, its a test!"

Then we cheers to Trump!

Moral of the story....do you want it to be a sign or a test? One is easy, one isnt.

All seems like minor issues to me... Seems like it would be easier to just bring the ski to someone that know how to fix it, I think I already stated, but I've fixed 3 krash hoods that didn't fit, it's just part of it, it's not a perfect oem hull, and you may have issues with any other hull you buy. Have it fixed right or send it back..

@Yami-Rider
in your experience, what did you do in those instances? did you have to remove some of the hull lip, build it back up, form it, then keep putting the hood on and sanding the new shape until it fit?
