just when I thought I would treat myself to a krash RTR ski and save myself the time and headaches of assembly.... NOT ANYMORE!

this hull appears to be an absolute piece of junk from what I've read.

I'll be spending my hard earned money elsewhere.

Goodluck getting this all sorted out and thanks for detailing all the issues.

Bad choice over few issues from a few! what about others that are fine ask yourself how many are out their from international and USA ? you are listing to few that have had issues but look at mine almost no issues built it in a week and was shreddin surf !i have seen my buds sink their sj many times so what ever little water i get in is pointless ! Just sayin their are lot of people that are not on the x or fb

I wouldn't discount the new RTR skis just yet. My 50 Cal was one of the early ones, seems that people who bought them later had better luck. They might have taken people's issues into account and reengineered the new skis or hired better workers. Who knows, it is certainly what I hope.

They are not junk, but definitely not perfect or even close to perfect.

I'm trying to be fair to Krash. They have been helpful on a number of things and the hull does ride absolutely amazing. It is the law of reviews. People will always talk about bad experiences, but the good ones usually don't get talked about nearly as much. Sure, I got fkd, but the next guy might not have and hasn't said anything.

On the flip side of that there were a ton of people who messaged me in private about issues with their Krash or knowing someone with Krash issues. Not everyone documents and talks about it like I do.


Moral of the story - don't not get a Krash JUST because of my thread. Do more research and see if it is something you are willing to take on. You pay less, but may need to work more. In retrospect I would have paid more, but that is my situation.

I think the new complete ski will be a total turd like a lot of the stuff they have put out. I hope to be proven wrong. They completely re invented the wheel with it all for the purpose of profits in my eyes. I understand the market is competitive but this is not the way to attack it. Its sad because it what the sport needs is an affordable rtr freestyle ski at a reasonable price for those who don't have the knowledge or tools to build one from scratch. All I see now is that they have taken yamaha right out of the equation so you then have to buy everything from them. What happens when you break down at the lake and all your riding buddies trucks are full of spare yamaha parts that dont work with your fancy new ski or they have some issues with the new engine and you have rare parts on back order. Do you just buy two, one for spare parts? That kind of defeats the purpose. Judging by the way they have handled the hull issues all signs point to sitting on the beach.

not sure how deep most of your pockets are, but if you've been following this thread, she's a hardworking girl who busts her @$$ at work and while working on her hard earned, well deserved, toys. Paying that kind of money (again, what I consider big bucks may be chump change to others), she should NOT HAVE to jerry rig her hood just to "get out and ride"... They need to make good on this, and make good on this quick. the worst part is, even if they send her a new hood and seal, as she mentioned in post #801 (IIRC) the hull itself has a low spot in the middle as opposed the the edges..DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING... so theres no guarantee that the new hood and seal will still NOT let water in.. and, she should not have to worry in the surf with the thought of water intrusion in the back of her mind every time she hits the water.
what they need to do at this point, is call it a loss and a learning experience and take their POS hull back (again, NOT SAYING EVERYONE ELSES HULL IS A POS, but THIS particular one IS) and give her a refund OR send her a NEW, TRUED and VERIFIED hull. shes still losing out on all the time/ labor she put into it, but thats better than the current situation. then, they can let one of their "local", "stateside" affiliates pick that hull up from her and do whatever it is they choose (burn it?).

This is not good for business, especially when they think theyre going to try and push out an all new rtr ski for $12k. I bet theyve already lost some potential sales from people on this forum from this thread. so, even if its just 10 people who will now buy an alternative ski due to reading this thread, if they make this right, itll add renewed confidence to those who may not have bought a krash after this thread.

Don't jerry rig the hull. get on their @$$...call their stateside guy til you get an answer..blow up their FB inbox and their email.... im only saying this because its not like you got the hull last week...you've been dealing with this for a LONG time.

this specific hull is trash imo and for the amount of money she spent on the hull with the proof she has there should already be a new hull being shipped out to her. I'd be extremely mad

another extremely good point you can have SJ parts to your door in 24 hours or find used parts locally very easily to get you back on the water.

yep I agree for everyone saying just patch this hull and ride it isn't the person with a brand new hull full of defects. you shouldn't have to Jerry rig a new hull just so it doesn't take on barrels of water. buying used yea maybe a few issues to work out on a hull but brand new out of the crate is BS

Well I have one, and have had some issues but they've been solved. Hood is the last issue, but I rode it a few times last fall and ran my bilge the entire time. So at this point I'd say still work with Krash but get out and ride this weekend, just do what you can to keep the water out. But ride the ski. That's what I'm doing. Might as well use it while you debate with them.

People are only saying to do work to it so she can hit the water and ride. She deserves to get to ride a ski, sucks she has to do work to it but Krash isn't going to get her a new hull so sooner or later she will have to do some work to it. Might as well just get it done and past it all.

I hear yea! all this BS sure scares me away from hanging up my Trusty SJ for an AM ski
